Down to the River. The abstraction of the body, language, music, and religious practice all merge into one bowl of water. Down the River to Pray is a hymn that lulls listeners and singers through its rhythm. Here the song is directly sung into the river, and since the words are not understood the rhythm and pauses are the few things that remain. This video was shot at the river in the early morning.
