Civil War Virtual Tours. A blog and What's New section for civilwarvirtualtours.com. Saturday, January 8, 2011. So, it's been a quiet four months. My wife and I had a new baby, and I've been taking it easy. However, I'll get back to work on CWVT projects in February. First up is working on and completing the Fort Pulaski section. Maps of Fort Pulaski. In the spring of 1862 Fort Pulaski, located on Cockspur Island in the Savannah River, guarded the seaward approach to Savannah, Georgia.
