Friday, January 6, 2012. Today is Kings Day in the big easy. It is 12 days after Christmas and the beginning of the Mardi Gras season. They take Mardi Gras pretty seriously down here. Most people start getting Kings Cake to begin the celebration and I thought I would join in on the festivities and get one for tonight. Saturday, January 28, 2012. The reason for this post was not to talk about our yard but to post about a moment that I know I'll forget if I dont write it down. Me: Benson, you wanna say the prayer? Me: okay, do you want me to help you? I've always helped him). Benson: No.Dear Heavenly Father. What else does that have to do with the yard work? It was worth the last few weeks where there were more tears than laughter, more stares than smiles from strangers at the store and more time outs than diaper changes.

Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Last night we went in for the routine 20 week ultrasound and we are so excited that we're going to have another. I remeber when Benson was born, he would pee EVERY time we changed his diaper, i saw these at the time and never made them but now that we've got another little boy on the way, i'm tempted to make them this time around. Friday, April 30, 2010. Today is commencement for school. Obviously I'm not attending but I can't believe I'm done. It doesn't seem real at all. I am hoping that when I get my diploma in the mail it'll feel more real. I have to keep reminding myself - you don't have to go back to school EVER, unless you want to. Thursday, May 5, 2011. Weve had quite a few vistors over the last two months, hence the lack of posts. We've also been busy getting into the swing of a summer schedule and adjusting to two children. Just a few highlights from the last few weeks:. My mom came out the day Henry was born (great timing Mom! Then Scott's mom came out a week after my mom left and helped out so much! Tuesday, June 29, 2010. This one time on "vacation". My Sister in law, Kristie, gave me some wise wisdom last summer while she was visiting her family in Utah. She said that when you have kids, its not a Vacation. The last month I've spent on the east coast visiting my family. It kinda all came together due to several factors. I normally don't plan month long trips. I have to go finish this scouting video so i can be a qualified cub scout leader but pictures and stories are on the way! One : The mister.

Thursday, July 7, 2011. Just a few days old. Scott and Gini Berrett. Benson and Henry are starting to notice each other more and more which for the most part is adorable and warms my heart. Other times it makes me feel like my heart is going to stop beating- like the time Benson tried to pick up Henry, or hit him with his toy or kicked him on accident. Good thing little boys are tough. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Nights in a hotel. Month year old child. Equals= I'll never do that again. Monday, March 28, 2011. I know its been quite some time since we've posted anything on here but when the Minnesota weather fluctuates between -20 and 3 degrees, there isn't much to do. The holidays were good, except us all getting the stomach bug and other than that we've just been doing a lot of the following:. Playing in the snow (when it gets above 20).
