Lassen Mineral Lodge http:/ www.minerallodge.com/. 1915年Lassen Peak大规模喷发以后，越来越多的人想登上火山顶去探个究竟，公园管理者开始修建登顶的trail，1932年Lassen Peak Trail正式开通，当年就有6700多位登山者踏上了这条trail，攀登高峰。 9月初Lassen Peak Trail的上半段开始维护，关闭了最后登顶的1mile多trail，游客中心的Ranger跟我们说目前只能走前面一半的路，大约1.4mile，但还是能看到许多不错的景色。 一路上看到许多指示牌，上面介绍着Lassen Peak形成的过程，走走停停，不一会儿已经到了高出，回头望见开阔的景色，不远处的是Brokeoff Mountain，还有深蓝色的Lake Helen镶嵌在山谷中间。 Filed under 游走天涯 Travel.

Castello di Amorosa – The Castle of Love. 我们去的酒庄有个美丽的意大利名字-Castello di Amorosa，意思是Castle of Love，爱之城堡。 城堡的主人叫Dario Sattui，一位意大利裔的美国酒商，今年69岁，他还同时拥有Napa Valley里另一个酒庄 V. Sautti。 Sattui家族的酿酒业要追溯到Dario Sattui的曾祖父 Vittorio Sattui那里。 Vittorio1882年从意大利移民美国，在1885年就和年轻的妻子在旧金山建立了自己的酒庄V. Sattui Winery，生意一度做得很兴隆，酿的酒远销俄勒冈州和华盛顿州。 1975年，Dario以曾祖父的名字来命名酒庄，V. Jing's life memories. 西游记 Journey to the West. 穿越美国 From Sea to Shining Sea. 拉森火山国家公园行 下 →. 9月11，12号两天，我们和Nan and Yu Couple一起开车去了加州北部的拉森火山国家公园 Lassen Volcanic National Park 过周末。 拉森火山国家公园是世界上少有的几个能找到所有火山类型的地区，包括穹顶火山 plug dome), 盾壮火山 shield), 火山渣锥 (cinder cone), 和层状火山 strato。 公园内最著名的火山要数Lassen Peak了，它是Cascade Range的最南端上的一座活火山，在1915年5月19日夜里，打破了27，000年的沉睡，汹涌地喷发了，岩浆夹杂着碎石和融雪，延着Lassen Peak的北坡滚滚而下。 Lassen公园里南湾4个半小时的车程，我们周六一大早6 30就出发了，带着大cooler，装满了晚上吃火锅的配料，去Fremont接上Nan and Yu，兴致冲冲地延着5号路向北挺进。 2010/10/29 at 9:16 am.
