Far far away…. Adventures and ramblings of a girl on the continent. January 17, 2012 in Luxembourg. On Saturday we headed into the city centre to check out the flea market (six very cold looking sellers with overpriced merchandise – I’m hoping it improves in the spring) and get some food from the farmer’s market (very good! Far far away…. Adventures and ramblings of a girl on the continent. One Word: Brave – being open, stepping forward. January 9, 2012 in One Word: Brave. Brave is my one little word for 2012. Sometimes I’ll be sharing my thoughts on it and how it is shaping me, with you all here. I have a little figurine that my mum gave me a few years ago, one of the willow tree ones that are so popular now. She’s one of their angel series, and her name is. This is also the position you see bungee jumpers take sometimes a...

Far far away…. Adventures and ramblings of a girl on the continent. January 23, 2012 in faith and life. Moments in my day. This is the morning when whichever way I look, I am not happy with what I see. We all have those mornings, right? This morning I also read a post by Kelle Hampton, on her blog Enjoying the Small Things. I love her writing and her openness to share her life. Last week (I’m catching up) she had this to say:. 8230;I used to think emotional “funks” would just ride out on thei...Jam and c...

Far far away…. Adventures and ramblings of a girl on the continent. January 19, 2012 in moments in my day. One of the benefits of these short days during winter, is that I get to see the sunrise every morning. At the moment it appears around half past eight, just when I’ve said goodbye to Rasmus and kissed him out the door, and taken the remains of my breakfast into the study to start my day. One word: Brave | far far away...
https://fionalynne.wordpress.com/2012/01/02/one-word-brave
Far far away…. Adventures and ramblings of a girl on the continent. January 2, 2012 in dreams and goals. The start of the new year came about in a gentle and welcoming way for us: eating fondue with new friends, flowing champagne, sleeping late and a lazy day in pyjamas. So this morning, this first Monday morning of the year, I sit down to my long to-do list and my varied list of goals and hopes and dreams for the year, and feel ready. Ready but a little overwhelmed. But I do not have a spirit of fear.

Far far away…. Adventures and ramblings of a girl on the continent. Brave is a red dress. January 16, 2012 in One Word: Brave. I came out of the changing room, two skirts over my arm that fit. It was bright red dress, hanging in a rack of navys and greys which is why it had jumped out at me. My size. Well, it wouldn’t hurt to try. I headed back to the changing room. I smiled again, did a little twirl and slipped back into the changing room. Downstairs, Rasmus asked if I’d had any luck. Yes,...But the smi...

Far far away…. Adventures and ramblings of a girl on the continent. January 20, 2012 in family and friends. Out for Bangladeshi food in ST Andrews on my 23rd birthday – so young! I’m signing off early this weekend to drive to Bonn for a weekend with two old flatmates from uni, Hannah and Ellie. I’ve been looking forward to it for weeks, so despite the long drive this morning (winter tyres on two days ago so I’m prepared for anything! I am excited to finally leave. There’s nothing quite like it. Fill in y...
