Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Trick or treat the Habor! Starting new traditions is hard! So we headed out, strait from school, costumes already on (major plus), luckliy parked in Grandpa's downtown parking spot, and hit banks, cute stores, pet shops with treats for our dog :), resturants, etc. ALL were out, ALL were thrilled to participate in this event. Thursday, January 26, 2012. Not a fancy shop with santa standups and picture spots, no hot cider under Christmas lights while kids looked at pet bunnies in cages, but totally worthwhile and simple. It lasted us the entire season and looked perfect! I really am getting tired of pine needles here though, they are never seem to go away. Factor of the northwest I guess. January 26, 2012 at 8:01 AM. Friday, August 24, 2012. I used two 9 inch round cake pans, and then cut one in half and started cutting other pieces to build the train. I had a picture of the train to get the idea of what the body looked like. Then I realized that a giant Marshmallow was a better front for the train. Easier to add than to figure out how to mold. Monday, October 17, 2011. Enforcing Saturday morning chores can be a brutal process some weeks. Thursday, January 26, 2012. Yes, I know we did this Candyland theme 2 years ago, but who remembers right? It was so fun, and using the racquetball ct at the end for King Candy's Castle was perfect. The best was when Brooklynn hid in there as we were knocking on the door to enter.she pumped out a low kingly voice to admit the kids. Tuesday, February 28, 2012. We Call it "Hallie's Sweat SHOP"! All the proceeds from the marketplace go to a 5th grade pool of $ for camp at the end of the year. All parents were invited and the other grades were able to shop at different times during the school day. An amazing fundraising idea, all things made by the kids. Very successful and fun. These students came up with the coolest things! Many of which hallie herself couldn't resist buying (who can resist snowmen made from socks? See the video below.
