Who loves quiet conversations about feelings or ideas, and can give a dynamite presentation to a big audience, but seems awkward in groups and maladroit at small talk? Who has to be dragged to parties and then needs the rest of the day to recuperate? If so, do you tell this person he is "too serious," or ask if he is okay?

Wednesday, March 22, 2006. The number 6174 is a really mysterious number. At first glance, it might not seem so obvious. But as we are about to see, anyone who can subtract can uncover the mystery that makes 6174 so special. In 1949 the mathematician D. R. Kaprekar. 5200 - 0025 = 5175. 7551 - 1557 = 5994. 9954 - 4599 = 5355. 5553 - 3555 = 1998. 9981 - 1899 = 8082. 8820 - 0288 = 8532. 8532 - 2358 = 6174. 7641 - 1467 = 6174. When we reach 6174 the operation repeats itself, returning 6174 every time. We...
