Friday, January 9, 2009. I left the day after school dismissed for the holidays and flew from Seoul to Atlanta to Pensacola! It was a long but good flight. I was so glad to see my whole family waiting for me as I exited the terminal! Michaela welcoming me home. Seoul Searching: April 2010

Monday, April 12, 2010. The Story of Three Trees. In a forest one day, three young trees all agreed to pray that they would be used for some noble purpose rather than decay from old age. The first tree wanted to become a manger where tired cattle could feed after a long day’s work. God rewarded the tree for having such modesty. It became a very special manger—the one in which the Son of God was laid. The tree then understood that its part in the crucifixion of Jesus provided for the salvation of humankind.

http://audievandyke.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Let me just say that the positives have far outweighed and outshown the negatives when placed side by side! Let me share a few silly things that have made me smile lately:. Even so, I praise God for great memories and odd family members! 2 "Dear Miss Van Dyke, happy Valentine's Day! I hope Jesus will help you find a man with a Christ-like attitude. From, Albert Einstein" He is alive, and apparently I teach him! Where are you from? How old are you? Why are your eyelashes so long?

Seoul Searching: Who is Ms. Van Dyke?
http://audievandyke.blogspot.com/2010/05/who-is-ms-van-dyke.html
Sunday, May 9, 2010. Who is Ms. Van Dyke? Poetry has been our area of concentration in writing over the past couple of weeks. Last week, we ended with Definition Poetry. One of my students wrote the poem below. Things like this are rare treasures in teaching, and it's always fun to read how you're described. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at their comments earlier! That's life.it's nothing personal, right? I can't believe the year is almost over! The time flew by! Who is Ms. Van Dyke?

Sunday, December 28, 2008. Less Words.More Pictures: Part 3. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! This Thanksgiving, although spent away from family, was an absolute blessing! I had a wonderful time. One of the families from our school had 9 of us staff members over for Thanksgiving. We had turkey and all the fixins! I thank God that HE provided a home away from home at such a special time of the year and surrounded me with men, women, and kids that love HIM. I had a blessed day! UN flags in a case above...

Sunday, May 9, 2010. Well, we find ourselves celebrating one of the Lord's most precious gifts today.the gift of MOTHERS! My mom is a woman worth celebrating when I look back over the years and remember her faithfulness to me, my family, and most of all the LORD JESUS! It is neat to watch the word of God come alive in your family. I am so encouraged and blessed by another mother in our family- -my older sister, Heather! Thanks, sweet Momma (Tommy, Bevis, Bertha, etc.)! I'm so proud of you! 29 “ Man...

Seoul Searching: November 2008
http://audievandyke.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 12, 2008. I am also thankful that HE's not through with me yet. As I prepared to share at our elementary school faculty devotions, I was trying to discern what exactly it was that God wanted to say to my colleagues. Well, I wrestled back and forth with what was most important. What has God been teaching me? How can I best encourage those I work with? What part of my testimony should I leave out? What else will distinguish me.from all the other people on the face of the earth? Then, I ...

Saturday, March 20, 2010. Loving Life in the City. Now, there is a title I would never have imagined writing 2 years ago! After living in 5 states (practically 6- -a couple of miles from TN for 3 years), 2 countries, and visiting close to 15 nations, I am still proud to call south Alabama home! After all, Momma and Daddio are still there, so they make it home! With all of that typed, it's crazy to think about the LORD calling me to a super huge city across the planet! Haha When I first got here and was t...
