Horseflesh Productions: February 2012
http://horsefleshproductions.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 20, 2012. Last linocut of 2011. This print is part of the Multiverse exchange at the SGCI 2012 New Orleans conference. I originally intended to carve this relief print out of sintra, which is what I tend to prefer, but the deadline was closer than it should have been due to my procrastination, so I opted for linoleum, which is faster and easier to carve but loses sharpness sometimes. This linocut is printed on a blue hemp washi, purchased from Hiromi Paper. Posted by Camilla Taylor.

Horseflesh Productions: Three headed cat
http://horsefleshproductions.blogspot.com/2013/01/three-headed-cat.html
Wednesday, January 09, 2013. I wanted to give all my friends a present for New Year's Day. Originally, I though a family portrait (me, my partner, our cat) would be perfect, but the partner didn't want to be in it, and I thought it would send the wrong message if it was just me and the cat. So it became just the cat, Mulcifer, which I think was the best to begin with anyway. Two color relief print (a sintracut) with screenprint for the calendar bit. Printed with Gamblin's Portland black on Rives BFK.

Horseflesh Productions: "Donkey" Collagraph Print
http://horsefleshproductions.blogspot.com/2012/10/donkey-collagraph-print.html
Monday, October 08, 2012. Carborundum Grit Aquatint Collagraph on Rives BFK. I finished this collagraph last week, just three days before its intended unveiling. It was made for an auction, raising funds for the Obama campaign. I had an impassioned speech that I gave at the request of the hosts, but I will spare you it, readers. Here's the actress Jennifer Lewis auctioning off my piece. She was hilarious and amazing for all 2 hours of the auction. And a few more making of photos, this time without a cat&...

Horseflesh Productions: December 2011
http://horsefleshproductions.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 26, 2011. Black field with white. I like it so much, that I salvaged one of the sheets that someone else threw away from the garbage, soaked it, and ran the ghost on it. The sheet had been crumpled and had a layer of wheatpaste one it already from the previous failed print, imparting an interesting texture to the final image. Posted by Camilla Taylor. Monday, June 25, 2012. The Crowd I" Monotype. In printmaking, a print designates that something is reproducible in some way. A mono print. Is a print that is one of a kind, but incorporates something reproducible, like if I had used a woodcut or stencil in conjunction. But, since this is entirely hand painted before printing, it is a mono type. Posted by Camilla Taylor. Links to this post. Monday, June 18, 2012. The figure mimics the sculpture " But I didn't know. At the Trunk Space in Phoenix, AZ with a reception on April 5th. The piece has an inner chamber, and if you peer through the windows in his torso you can see it, too. Though it's difficult to photograph, I've attempted it to give you some idea. At left, you can see "Red Chair" inconstructed. And here's Mulcifer the cat, diligently overseeing me as I print.
