So I'm a day late in publicly sharing my gratitude for the week, but then I stopped to think about how even this is a gift of grace. Last night I spoke with a friend in an all too familiar situation. Sunday, April 24, 2011. In March my parents came up for a visit and of course, there was still a ton of snow so we decided to go sledding! My mom and I hogged the sled and had SO much fun. We didn't have a sled so we used a plastic under-the-bed clothes box. It didn't hold up as well as we would've liked it to.but it sure did give us a lot of laughs. We laughed so hard our stomachs hurt! Our "sled" is beginning to fall apart. It is in at least 3 pieces at this point. Then John had to get in on the action.

Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Tonight I tagged along with Tristen's AWANA class.how incredibly fun :). He and his friend, Caleb :). Then we headed to a bowling alley to hang out with our youth group.Tristen bowled for the first time and LOVED it. He wasn't quite as thrilled about laser tag but we'll try again when he's older! Friday, December 5, 2014. Wednesday, November 26th didn't exactly go as planned. The day started out fantastic with the news that we could FINALLY close on our house.it's officially ours now! The story of the house will come later.I wanted to wait until it was actually OURS! After the closing, we packed our bags as fast as possible to head to my in-laws for Thanksgiving. My husband has not had much time off lately and we were so looking forward to having a holiday off and being together as a family.

Maybe it's a Midwest thing? Anyway, it's called Fun Days and we look forward to it every year. People reserve spots for the parade 1-2 days in advance, the events are well attended, and the community just really gets into it.
