Serpentine Jarrahdale Youth Activity Group. Our Excursion to Alcoa. Our Excursion to Westrac. We teach carpentry, cabinet making, welding, mechanics, spray painting and metalwork, with particular focus on safety in the workshop. As most of our volunteers come from industries with strong safety programs we keep up to industry standards and the ratio of instructors to students is rarely greater than 1:3. Has enabled us to introduce two more courses – cooking and sewing, which are proving to be popular.

We are a friendly group providing the young residents of the Shire (aged12-17) the opportunity to make friends and safely learn workshop skills under the guidance of our experienced volunteers. Kids are able to take part in activities such as metalwork, welding, mechanics, woodwork, cabinet-making, spray painting, lathe work, sewing, cooking, go-karts, outings and vocational guidance visits to various industries.
