Wednesday, 30 July 2008. I decided to book into a hotel on the Orchard Road for my last two nights so that I could treat myself to a bit of well needed pampering. I got my hair done as it was so out of condition and bleached blond from the sun it looked a mess. I also had a manicure and pedicure and then spent the rest of my first day window shopping. Well ok. I was looking for clothes but couldn't really find anything that I loved, plus I already had far too much stuff to try and cram into my rucksack.

Sunday, 20 July 2008. Darwin - Alice Springs. The next leg of my trip was from Darwin to Alice Springs. Whilst there is not as much to see in between it was quite breathtaking just to travel for hours on end through the outback and take in the scenery and remoteness. Wednesday, 30 July 2008. The next day I headed out to the Victoria Markets to purchase some souvenirs and UGG. Boots After that I wandered into the centre to buy a pair of heels as with the weather being colder I could no longer wear my flip flops and my trainers were in desperate need of going in the bin. Deep in some blissful dream. June 08, 2005. It's positively too delicious for words to be with my family, and England is more beautiful than I remember. I went for a walk with my Dad yesterday and was overwhelmed with how pretty the countryside is. I guess I'm starved of 'greenness' most of the time in Taiwan! I'm off again today however - flying to Tobago in the Caribbean to enjoy 2 weeks of sun, sand, sea and whatever else the island has to offer! I'm so excited, just finished packing :). June 01, 2005.

Deep in some blissful dream. May 26, 2005. My First Camping Trip. Last weekend I took a rare days holiday from work and Martin and I scootered our way into the mountains. We went camping at a little aboriginal campsite in the middle of Taiwan (about a 2 1/2 hour drive from home). It was absolutely gorgeous there - no sounds of traffic or lights or anything Taiwanesey!
