Claire Jones - New Album, 'Journey'

Claire's new album, 'Journey' is the music of her very personal journey of recovery from. ME Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The album also includes one new composition by Claire’s husband, Chris Marshall. It was inspired by their walks together in the Preseli Mountains near Claire’s childhood home, during her time there recuperating from her illness. Journey' is Claire's fourth solo album, though she's collaborated on many more, including the recording of 'The Highgrove Suite', a Harp commission by Patric Hawes for HRH, the Prince of Wales, and with the National Children's Choir of Scotland. In 2007, Claire was appointed Official Harpist to His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, a role she held until 2011, making her the longest serving Royal harpist to date. During this appointment, Claire regularly performed for the Royal Family and their distinguished guests at the Royal Palaces. In April 2011 she performed for the newly married Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at their wedding reception in Buckingham Palace. Request up to date biography.

Official harpist to HRH the Prince of Wales, Claire Jones has perfomed as soloist with NYSO as well as having been a member of the orchestra on violin. Violin - 2nd violinist of the Sacconi String Quartet. I loved my time in NYSO, and it was an integral part of my musical education. It was my first experience of really exciting chamber music.
