Or what your heroine did next. Storybook adaptation May 16, 2009. 8212; clairelasvegas @ 5:08 pm. Here is Mrs. Muffly’s monster. The story is not much different from the original text, but I had to adapt the pictures quite significantly, and I wanted the ‘reveal’ at the end this way, which is not how the original goes. I hope you enjoy it. 2 Responses to “Storybook adaptation”. May 20, 2009 at 10:52 am. That was super cute! May 21, 2009 at 2:19 pm. This made me laugh so much– I love the monster!

So I have two story tellings with an audience from digital story hour which I will link here – Elmer. By David McKee, and a folk tale from the Inuit people, the story of Sedna. From a book called Changing Woman and her Sisters by Katrin Hyman Tcharna. Again the sound is not great so if you’re interested in the story check out my picture book adaptation assignment ...

Digital Storytelling Journal: Evening of Storytelling!
http://jmwolflis561.blogspot.com/2009/05/evening-of-storytelling.html
A record of my journey through Storytelling: Art and Techniques LIS 561 from the ischool at the University of Washington. Saturday, May 16, 2009. Last night 2 classmates and I got together to perform stories for our friends and families. It was lots of fun, and I think it went really well. Here also are Rabbit's Snow Dance and Popcorn, which are neat to hear again because the audience is different, and it's in a different location (and I've practiced a lot more). The Adaptation of Olivia-. Link to the story at the bottom of the page. After much searching and reading, I fell back on my favorite recent children’s book- Olivia. I chose this book because I love the creative energy that Olivia displays, and I think this is a great quality to share with children.I decided that instead of retelling one of the books of Olivia, I would pull from several of the books and focus on Olivia’s character. The making of the storyball-. Olivia at the piano image- Now look at Olivi...

Storytelling to Kindergarten | Spinning the Yarn
https://spinningtheyarn.wordpress.com/2009/05/17/storytelling-to-kindergarten
May 17, 2009 · Filed under Uncategorized. My first live performance of storytelling was to a group of kindergarten children. For me this was intimidating because I teach high school students everyday. I was excited to share my favorite children’s book Olivia. It was Friday afternoon during my planning period that I ventured over to the elementary library. The kids were very excited because I was a new person plus they were almost finished with school for the weekend. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Digital Storytelling Journal: June 2009

A record of my journey through Storytelling: Art and Techniques LIS 561 from the ischool at the University of Washington. Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Assignment 4: Story Set. I also chose these stories because of their repetitive bits in threes “What big… you have” and “Little Pig, Little Pig…” are wonderful repetitions and stick in your head. Benjamin Pig echoes this with “I don’t like…” which fits him in this triad of stories. It runs a little over 15 minutes (15 minutes and 11 seconds).

May 17, 2009 · Filed under Picture Book Adaptation. This week has been a hectic one. I have so many ideas, but I have troubling choosing one direction and completing. I think this is because I am moving from teaching high school English to becoming an elementary librarian. Right now I am immersing myself with all kinds of stories. This class has been instrumental in exposing me to the fun, exciting story choices that exist. I have been working several ideas. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
