It is an educational charity which sends about 200 17-19 year olds to work as volunteers in over 25 countries worldwide. Me and another volunteer, Carolien had the pleasure of staying with Jean and Andrew Peddie in their beautiful house. Guyana, the land of many waters is found on the north-east coast of South America, bordering Brazil, Venezuela and Suriname. Despite being rich in natural resources it is one of the poorest countries in South America. The interior is mainly jungle, much of it unexplored and very sparsely populated.
