dropstitch: January 2015
http://dropstitchblog.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 30, 2015. Dulcie and I have been playing quite a bit of Mousie Mousie lately. Does anyone else remember this game? I'm so excited at the thought of playing more board games as Dulcie gets a bit older. One day we'll be able to play Ludo together! Can you believe it? Labels: me and my girl. Thursday, January 29, 2015. Lola the wonder cat. And puts up with so much "love" from Dulcie. Here she is being decorated with Dulcie's extensive sticker collection. They are such a sweet pair. It can be...

dropstitch: June 2015
http://dropstitchblog.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 29, 2015. Switch off your tv set and do something less boring instead. Dulcie and I took the bus to Edinburgh last week in order to find this house. Do you recognise it? We knew the house was somewhere in Princes Street Gardens, but where? So a totally random daytrip, but very enjoyable nonetheless. It's nice that Dulcie's getting to an age where she wants to go on these mini adventures. Me and my girl. Sunday, June 28, 2015. Lengths swum this week: 72. Target total this week: 1360. Translat...

Friday, July 24, 2015. This is what happens. When you let a three-year-old choose her own outfits. I'd thoroughly recommend it! Remember when I made this bee romper for Dulcie. I thought she'd grown out of it ages ago. Actually, she only grew out of it.six months ago? Well, she can squeeze. Damn it to hell! Me and my girl. Things made by me. Thursday, July 23, 2015. Summer postcard club 2015. Labels: sending and receiving mail. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. I might as well confess. The blog is also taking mo...

dropstitch: September 2014
http://dropstitchblog.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Time-travelling tuesday (part 21). We always had them with beetroot and oatcakes too, but I never realised that was a "thing". I think I might make stovies tonight. Yum. Once I made stovies before a dance class and everyone I danced with complained they could smell soup. How embarrassing. Went to beach in Cullen because it is very very hot. Extra dancing. Singing today. Granny Arrived Today. I Meant Tonight. Islay Granny not Huntly Granny. Julia coming over/Stovie Dance.

dropstitch: November 2014
http://dropstitchblog.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Print available from Yoote on Etsy. I thought (since I've been all brag, brag, brag about the book challenge! That I ought to update you with my progress on the swim challenge. Harumph. I'm so annoyed at myself. I mean, this is so typical of me and was the obvious outcome, of course, but I really believed I was going to stick to it and that made me feel great for a while. So, what to do? See what I did there? I had a hospital appointment last week and treated myself to a wee...

dropstitch: February 2015
http://dropstitchblog.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. I bought a car! It's a life on the open roads for me! My car (MY car! Thursday, February 26, 2015. Today I'm going to Perth to test drive a couple of cars. Given how little I've driven since passing my test 15 years ago, this would always be scary, but today I'm test driving automatic cars, despite NEVER HAVING DRIVEN ONE BEFORE. I'm taking my dad with me so he can tell me how to start the thing. Ha! I'm scared. Wish me luck! Wednesday, February 25, 2015. I Capture The Castle i...

dropstitch: December 2014
http://dropstitchblog.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Just a quick post to wish you all a very merry Christmas! This is the card Dulcie and I made to send out this year - hand-printed Christmas trees (using Dulcie's hand) with washi tape trunks and sticker stars and baubles. Dulcie enjoyed getting covered in green paint, but lost interest quickly in the stickers (so fickle! I used my customisable stamp to create this oh-so-hilarious info on the back of the card. HAND made! Honestly, my rapier wit never fails to astound me.

dropstitch: May 2015
http://dropstitchblog.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 31, 2015. This is Gertrude Ederle. The first woman (and sixth person) known to have swum the Channel. What a lady! I think I might adopt her as my mental mascot, though my own swimming challenge is going pretty well at the moment. I've rediscovered my determination. Lengths swum this week: 110. Target total this week: 1037. Total lengths swum: 1056 (19 ahead of target). I'd need to swim 62 lengths this week to meet next week's target. Monday, May 25, 2015. The shelves are up! sewable: Go buy the shoes!
http://sewable.blogspot.com/2009/11/go-buy-shoes.html
Go buy the shoes! So there is a small info for everybody who is so lucky to live in Berlin! I just passed by a shoe shop (Next to the bookshop on the corner of Schönhauser Allee and Shivelbeiner Straße - it is almost directly at the U2 Schönhauser Allee subway station) that had a total sale and I spent quite a lot of time there. They have pretty italian shoes marked down 80% and I seriously considered 2 pairs but kept it to one. I am still suffering though. November 19, 2009 at 10:42 PM. I ♥ sewing.

sewable: And again
http://sewable.blogspot.com/2009/11/and-again.html
I think this one is the last tunic based dress for now. I have mixed feeling about it. I still haven't put buttons on it and haven't worn it yet. The fabric is a beautiful 40% silk 60% cotton voile. I really loved it and it makes me a bit unhappy I don't like the final result. The problem is that I tried to do the dress very carefully but did 2 major mistakes due to my absentmindness. I am not really here. i am a figment of your imagination. but this is one of my favorite things youve made! The fabric an...
