Claire Weetman - News

Thursday, 26 January 2017. Public View - The Bluecoat. It is work from that latter exhibition that I will be representing in Public View, showing one of my pinned collages that acted as a study for the interactive projection work that featured in the Vide. I'm really thankful of Sara-Jayne Parsons and Bryan Biggs support over the past 13 years, and am really happy to join in the celebrations of a brilliant Liverpool institution. Claire Weetman - News: October 2014

http://claireweetman.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 28 October 2014. Footsteps at St Augustine's High School, St Helens. During October I've been working with St Augustine of Canterbury Catholic High School on some varied drawing activities. The bulk of the time was spent with Year 7 on a project using footprints, although I also got to spend some time with pupils from Years 9, 10 and 11 on a range of drawing activities too. The footprints were also turned into rubber stamps, which were used to create a quick stop motion animation by building up ...

Claire Weetman - News: September 2013

http://claireweetman.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Friday, 27 September 2013. Recent workshops at Secondary Schools. I've been doing a number of practice-led workshops in Secondary schools lately, including Knutsford Academy in Cheshire and Cowley International College, St Helens. I thought I'd share a few pictures here. Both schools wanted me to work with KS4 and KS5, although the sessions are equally suitable for younger age groups. The students of Knutsford Academy spent a whole day with me, so were able to really get their teeth into their work, with...

Weetman uses drawing processes combined with interventions in public spaces, responding to, recording, measuring and altering movement. Using bold calligraphic lines combined with video projections, she records the motion of people on everyday journeys; Flowing pencil drawings, charting transient and fleeting traces, noting how movement alters according to environment; Interventions into public spaces interact with an audience by both measuring and interrupting natural movement. Since 2009 Claire Weetman...

For continuity of my history, start from the earliest entry to the most recent. Mornings In Jenin: A Novel by Laila Ibrahim. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" by Mary Ann Shaffer and Anne Barrows. Hope's Boy" by Andrew Bridge. Sites that might be of Interest. Marcia DeCamp - Quilter. In an ambulance &#...
