How-To posts explain how to do certain things. How to clean CPAP accessories. Submitted by Pat on Tue, 04/14/2009 - 19:50. We've got a CPAP machine in the household. This is a medical device that helps the wearer breath at night. Naturally, it involves a bunch of plastic parts, hoses, masks, etc. that need to be cleaned every so often. It can be difficult to get stubborn smells out, leading the user to be disinclined to wear the device, leading to lost sleep. Here is a good cleaning solution.

Languish: To exist or continue in miserable or disheartening conditions. Submitted by Pat on Thu, 06/04/2009 - 21:39. Ah, a perfect word to describe both my garden blog and the basement garden! Bunches of plants have gone outside in the past month. Only the strongest are surviving. Many others grew too spindly, and so much as a drop or two of rain knocked them over. The big winners are the 4 O'Clocks, which take all the neglect I can hand them yet still do well. Two of nine hollyhocks are actually growing.

Boston wants its residents to recycle plastic, glass, and paper, and they tell us how to prepare recyclables for pickup. Paper and cardboard get flattened and put in paper bags. Plastic and glass go into blue recycling bins. So far so good. How about styrofoam packing? My Secret Life as a Werewolf. Here's one of the pictures.

Highlight on Activism: Dorchester Food Coop Initiative. When we heard a group of Dorchesterites were working hard to create a community-owned food store to provide healthy, local, and natural food for Dorchester, we were excited and felt their efforts had to be highlighted. If you are unfamiliar with the food co-op model, think Harvest co-op in Somerville or Jamaica Plain. Top photo courtesy of green Dot! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
