Just one more row. Saturday, December 30, 2006. I also made John a pair of fingerless gloves from Knitty.com's Fetching pattern. As you can see I altered the pattern a bit so that there is no cable at the knuckles (looks more manley that way) and I continued knitting to extend the length of the gloves over his knuckles. He also just loved these. Men are just so hard to knit for. Labels: Last 2006 post. Wednesday, December 27, 2006. End of Year Charity Crafting. Socks for Soldiers: 49 pairs of slippers.

KayleenKnits: New Crafts
http://kayleenknits.blogspot.com/2009/06/new-crafts.html
Just one more row. Sunday, June 07, 2009. Oh, I also wanted to show an update of my two beautiful daughters. I'll bet you can't tell how proud of them I am. I am also pretty proud of me as I have lost 46 pounds and am still going. Let me show you some of the cards I've been making. I'm very much a newbie at this, so I realize that I have a great deal to learn.but I'm having fun! This card was made for a secret pal that I am exchanging with through the summer. Yep - another card going to my secret pal.

Just one more row. Monday, January 29, 2007. Preparing for Valentine's Day. I'm in two dishcloth exchanges coming up in February and I wanted to do something extra special. So I designed my own Valentine dishcloth. Granted, it is not nearly as pretty on the backside as it is on the frontside, but isn't it the thought that counts? A free copy of this pattern is over in the right if you would like it. Thursday, January 25, 2007. Oh, AMH stands for a yahoo group I belong to called "At My House". Right now I...

Just one more row. Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Yes, I'm still working on afghan squares. Expect to see a lot of these little suckers this month. These two squares are again for our charity group. One of our members, Billie Rae, is going to assemble an afghan of all Xs and Os. I think that is such a cute idea, so of course I had to make sure there was a little bit of me in it! I also finished my mitt/mitten/glove exchange for my partner, but I can't give any more details until she opens it! Finally, a m...

Watch out kids. . . Her pointy-sticks are out! Tuesday, March 18, 2008. Clapotis de Jojoland is in the House. Yes my first Clap. It's coming along slowly due to fact that there's some maniacally secretive birthday knitting taking precedence but after tomorrow.Clapotis-Land here I come. It's a great knit. One that seems intimidating upon first inspection of the pattern but after jumping into the deep end.you realise, hey I can do this! I'm really a knitter after all. Kate Gilbert. Just a little blog about Knitting, Birthing, and Life in General. Saturday, January 24, 2009. Superwash Bamboo Take Three. Last June, my #1 Favorite on-line yarn shop, Elann.com. Had a bag sale of their Superwash Bamboo a nice worsted weight 65% washable wool/35% bamboo for a crazy cheap price. This is one of their stock yarns but a dye-lot that came out with a shaded or 'kettle-dyed' look to it. I purchased 2 bags of the Shaded Cedar. I recently decided to join Joan's Fashionably Late KAL. It's a roomy ...

Just one more row. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Oh well, as a budding designer I realize that I still have oodles to learn, but I love to have something to inspire me (such as a contest) to get the creative juices flowing. OTN: (1) The other legwarmer (of course), (2) 2nd sock, (3) short-sleeved sweater, (4) Ms. Beasley wristwarmers, (5) Beaded shawl. and yes, I do want to start a new project! Monday, January 26, 2009. Just one more row. Sunday, January 04, 2009. Teaching knitting and UFOs. We went to San Antonio for the weekend to visit family and also to show Katie the Riverwalk. It was beautiful, as you can see by the two beautiful girls in the photo. This Harry Potter pattern (Griffindor) is a free pattern found at http:/ knit.atypically.net/scarves/hogwarts/pattern.shtml. I am truly grateful to the owner of this website who has shared this impressive article. At at this place. Is in fact marvelous. Here is my site.
