Monday, December 31, 2012. It has been cold and dreary here since Christmas. Though the kids have had tons of new toys to keep them busy and fun friends coming over to help pass the time, eventually we all just got tired of being indoors. We were ready for some snow! Without a doubt, the most memorable part of this trip was how completely and totally fearless Little Miss Cate was on the hill and how much she LOVED it! Here are some fun phone pics from the night:. Friday, March 8, 2013. It's been so long since I've blogged I don't even know where to start! So many things are missing from here that I want to remember . Well, I suppose the most important thing that has happened since I last blogged was that my sweet little baby girl turned FIVE! I'm still kind of wrapping my head around that one. Monday, October 15, 2012. How tall this fall? Well, we have been a very busy bunch so far this fall! School and extras have been full of excitement, we took an unprecedented family vacation to the beach in October (! Jake and Max have gone on a couple of "guy weekend" trips to Pigeon Forge and the Baylor / WV game in West Virginia, and Cate just finished up a fun season of soccer with the Lady Giraffes! Monday, January 14, 2013. All of the students in Cate's Fab Five class get a special week when they are the STAR STUDENT! Cate has been prepping for this week for a loooooong time; all winter break, in fact. She was totally beaming when I woke her up this morning and told her it was her star student week! Sunday, September 16, 2012. Back to School - Round 2! Cate was extremely excited to start school this fall! Seriously all she talked about all summer long was how she could not wait to be a FAB FIVE! She knows from watching last year that the Fab Fives get to do some really cool stuff, and she was super giddy on her first day of school when her moment had finally arrived! Incidentally, I had no trouble marching her in, hugging her goodbye, and getting my party started either! Proudly writing her name.

Sunday, January 29, 2012. Max is playing Upward basketball this fall and loving it! I haven't had too much of an opportunity to take pictures at the games or practices (I've got enough on my plate trying to watch the action and keep little sissy occupied) but I got this shot of Max on the court at last week's practice and I like it so much I just had to share! Hopefully I can post some more pics or some video of him playing some time soon. He really is doing great at it! As always, he makes me so proud!
