Rue Rodier: July 2015
http://ruerodier.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, 23 July 2015. Here are a few photos from Bastille Day last week. After jumping on a couple of Velibs, we cycled down to the 5th to lunch at one of my favourite burger joints, Loulou. We wandered the streets of Saint Germaine, as it's not an area I often get down to, being south of the river an' all. As it was with my London days, I'm a north of the river girl, or Right Bank as it's called in Paris. We walked all the way to Coutume Café. Where we stopped for one of Rachel's. Has particularly goo...

Saturday, 18 July 2015. I've been meaning to write this long overdue post for a while now, but what with all the travelling backwards and forwards to the UK recently (I feel like I'm currently living on the Eurostar, so much so that they should install a bed for me), my blog has (as is usually the case) has taken a backseat. The British brand, Whistles. And matches a pair of silver heels that I bought from COS for the various occasions. The sunnies are Retro Super Future. It's light (even lighter than th...

Cooking Katie: A Berry Cheesecake, getting better by the day
http://cookingkatie.blogspot.com/2008/08/berry-cheesecake-getting-better-by-day.html
Sunday, 31 August 2008. A Berry Cheesecake, getting better by the day. Well to begin my blog it seems suitable to detail the baking of my first cheesecake, a momentous event which filled my Saturday afternoon quite comfortably (I had a quick breather to sit on the village green in a brief spell of sunshine and get the latest Ottelenghi recipes from the Guardian, an integral Saturday activity (more on him later. i appear to be in a double bracket quandary, best get closure) . But was nothing to write home...

Rue Rodier: May 2015
http://ruerodier.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 27 May 2015. In my endless quest for better living, one of the things I'm constantly, almost stubbornly aiming to improve are my green fingers. Despite my love of flowers and all things green, this skill unfortunately does not come naturally. Over the years I've killed bonsai trees (remember when those were trendy? So this weekend, I replaced the dead basil and mint with sweet-smelling, lusciously green pots and bought two beautiful pink hydrangea plants from the market. Wednesday, May 27, 2015.

Saturday, 6 September 2008. I'm in the throws of preparing some pizza (I had to give in and be a real chef after the shop sold out of Pizza bases) so Whilst I wait for the dough to rise, here's a (albeit brief) recipe for the balsamic cherry tomotoes that will become one of my toppings:. 1 Oven on at 160oC (Fan). 2 Slice your cherry tomoatoes in half. 3 Throws tomatoes in a roasting dish with some balsamic vinegar and freshly ground black pepper. 4 Remove from oven 20-30 mins later. A cup of tea.

Paris in the Springtime. Monday, 27 April 2015. Monday, April 27, 2015. Paris in the Springtime. Monday, 20 April 2015. Every time I go back to London, my experience of the city seems to get better and better, probably because now having lived away for two years, I enjoy the city with fresh eyes and can appreciate, as well as take full advantage of the city. Here are a few of the things I got up to during my week:. I purchased a few spring wardrobe updates from COS. With my friend Ruth. Tuesday, April 14...

Rue Rodier: June 2015
http://ruerodier.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, 25 June 2015. Last weekend I spent a few days with my Father. It's not often that I have the chance to spend quality time with him, let alone a whole weekend doing the things we enjoy most. So when were were invited to stay at Palace Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme. For Father's Day in collaboration with a new book written by U2's Bono, aptly entitled Sons and Fathers. Celebrating the relationship between sons and fathers, and daughters and fathers), I jumped at the opportunity. I recovered from my ha...
