Retail - Clare Ashton. I sell the books and lampshades retail to shops, galleries and museums. Please email me. To tell me about your shop, to request design and prices sheets as well as order forms. Miniumum orders are 100 for the first order and 50 for subsequent restocking orders. The first 3 orders is payment before dispatch and subsequent orders are 30 day invoice terms. Postage and packing is 10 for orders up to 100. 15 for orders over 100. Free P&P on orders over 500.

About Me - Clare Ashton. Sewing has been something I have just done since young It's just what happens when your mother is a dress maker. By the time I was ten I could whip up matching waistcoats for Teddy and I. But to take that step from clothing to artistry took the discovery of feltmaking. This ancient art form is now my primary medium and has enabled me to create images and objects I could only previously imagine. You are viewing the text version of this site. Covered Books - Clare Ashton. The printed felt cover books are my best selling item. They can be purchased online from my Folksy site by clicking on the Folksy button on the left of the screen. They are also available from a number of shops around the UK. I hand make the felt in my studio in the Pennines from British Blue Faced Leicester wool and then screen print on my drawings of Britsih wildlife. The printed felt is then sewn onto a cream organic cotton lining. You need Flash to use this feature.

Welcome - Clare Ashton. Welcome to the collections of myself, Clare Ashton. I am a textile artist working in felt, stitch and print drawing inspiration from the natural world. I live and work in Todmorden on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border, surrounded by the breathtaking Pennines. My present work is based on my drawings of British wildlife.
