through my eyes: November 2010
http://clarissacox.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
A place for me to express; a place to share the events in our family with those who need to know. Monday, November 15, 2010. Well, my time is almost up for this morning. Off I go to teach the wonders of quarter notes, eighth notes, dynamics, pedaling, and so many other things that I myself take for granted. It's a hard job for me to break it down sometimes. Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Lots of family. Aunts. Uncles. Cousins. Grandparents. Great-Grandfather, too, until 1980? Anyway. November also con...

A place for me to express; a place to share the events in our family with those who need to know. Wednesday, February 9, 2011. I picture her like a nearby waterfall. One that has always been there. Her source never dries. Her supporting rocks never wash away. Her destination doesn't matter. As long as she flows. Other times, we drink. We guzzle, thirstily, and produce and produce and produce, joyfully able once more. Nothing can keep us away from her, times like these. February 9, 2011 at 6:48 PM. Februa...

A place for me to express; a place to share the events in our family with those who need to know. Friday, February 27, 2009. Because I teach piano lessons at Madison Academy, I am occasionally called upon to accompany various programs there. This morning I played for a first grade program entitled, "The Greedy Green Goose." The premise is that the goose is upset because a mother has used his feathers to stuff a blanket for her little boy. He goes to try to get his feathers back. That's all. :o). So I am ...

A place for me to express; a place to share the events in our family with those who need to know. Tuesday, May 17, 2011. You're probably getting the idea on the songs and the prayers, so just assume they continue, okay? Job offers have been pondered and wrestled through, options weighed. A position has been accepted. Rob began his newest position at Deloitte. Recently as we've been preparing to return, and we expect that connection will help their transition to go pretty smoothly. Abbie does still re...

Mental Lint: Historical Studies Tour - Day 5
http://timcastle.blogspot.com/2010/05/historical-studies-tour-day-5.html
Whatever comes out of my brain when the wind blows hard enough. Monday, May 10, 2010. Historical Studies Tour - Day 5. Hoo-boy, what a long day. Then across the Capitol Mall to the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial - "The Wall." John and I had a special mission here. The son of a wonderful couple at our church died in Vietnam, and we wanted to find his name. With the help of a quick lookup on the Memorial's website, we got the location and found it rather quickly. I have to say that I was more affected by the m...
Mental Lint: Historical Studies Tour - Day 4
http://timcastle.blogspot.com/2010/05/historical-studies-tour-day-4.html
Whatever comes out of my brain when the wind blows hard enough. Sunday, May 09, 2010. Historical Studies Tour - Day 4. First thing this morning was loading the bus, then breakfast, and then onto the bus for a 2-and-a-half hour drive to Philadelphia. I've been pretty impressed with the good behavior of this group of kids. There is the occasional need to calm one or two of them down, but they're showing a lot of respect to the teachers and adults on the trip, so it's been good. I'm glad I brought my Z-Coil.
Mental Lint: Historical Studies Tour - Day 8
http://timcastle.blogspot.com/2010/05/historical-studies-tour-day-8.html
Whatever comes out of my brain when the wind blows hard enough. Thursday, May 13, 2010. Historical Studies Tour - Day 8. I was about to write something about a light schedule today, but it's mostly because we had a two-hour bus ride from D.C. to Gettysburg. But I get ahead of myself. Our first tour stop today was the American History Museum of the Smithsonian. It was definitely worth seeing! 8226; The C-3PO costume that Anthony Daniels wore in some of the "Star Wars" movies. 8226; Best of all, KERMIT!
Mental Lint: Historical Studies Tour - Day 9 and Wrap-up
http://timcastle.blogspot.com/2010/05/historical-studies-tour-day-9-and-wrap.html
Whatever comes out of my brain when the wind blows hard enough. Sunday, May 16, 2010. Historical Studies Tour - Day 9 and Wrap-up. Our last day of the trip was a very long one, including about 7 hours on planes, and not all of that in the air.We had an early wakeup call, about 5:45. After the great hotel in Maryland, the one we were at in Gettysburg was a bit of a letdown, but at least we slept well. In Lancaster County, known as Amish Country. Our lunch was at a great smorgasbord, and then we picked...
LifeThoughts from Khris: February 2005
http://khrisblog.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 07, 2005. I will miss my grandmother terribly, but I will celebrate her salvation in Christ. Where there are no goodbyes). When Lynn Kirkland's dad died, I wrote the following. I keep thinking about this:. It’s the song of angels. The whisper of your heart. The mark of a new life. Like a dove flying to the ark. The doorway to Canaan. A land full of promise. It’s a faith that is sure. Sure as a mother’s loving kiss. Feelings of home again. Inviting me to live. A ship sailing to shore.
LifeThoughts from Khris: September 2004

Tuesday, September 21, 2004. Well, I'm "Blog In The Saddle Again".it's been a week or so since my last blog. It all started with being excited about blogging that I totally forgot my user id (stop laughing). Well, after an extensive trial by error exercise, I've got it back.now it's written everywhere. How embarrassing. A lot was discussed from Garry's lesson to the LifeWalk Group. Things like the sin nature versus God's nature and which one in my life was being nourished the most? We even looked at Spir...

Praise the Lord and Pass the Prozac. Loving life in the South while loving the Lord. A little bit of crazy and a whole lot of love. Monday, March 04, 2013. Daybook for March 4, 2013. It is the sunniest day we have had in a good while. The past week has been bitterly cold; Saturday we had almost constant snow flurries, although nothing accumulated. We will finally be getting temperatures back to the 60s this week. So ready for spring! Perfect for chilly days/evenings! Luke chapter 8 this week with my Good...

Praise the Lord and Pass the Prozac. Loving life in the South while loving the Lord. A little bit of crazy and a whole lot of love. Friday, February 01, 2013. So last weekend, the not-so-newlyweds took their 2 week-old daughter and moved into their own place. This grandma is glad that the new place is barely half a mile down the road. They found a 2BR apartment nearby with great amenities (washer and dryer in. I took this picture near the end of her visit today:. We find him a car tomorrow.
