Musings of a Daily Rambler. Being reformed daily by the Lord, and enjoying life through the joys of small things…. November 25, 2008. I give to you, and you give to me…. Posted in Marriage Bliss. At 10:44 am by rachelelizabeth. Yesterday a single mother spoke to me about her priorities concerning marriage. She wanted to make sure she owned her own home and had her career established before taking the leap. Two things struck me about this conversation. Logic demands this give and take. 2 Comments ». Something Borrowed: July 2014
http://emilienotes.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Below is a link to the firework show I got to watch. Apparently this is what happens if you let a couple of brothers and a friend or two put on a show in their parents cul-de-sac. :-) Pretty amazing. This is not the whole thing- I took a short video at the beginning, and grabbed the grand finale as well. Next year I'll be sure to get the entire thing! 4th of July 2014. Scribbled by Emilie R. Friday, July 26, 2013. I bet you read the title "Psalm 139" and thought I was going to post an excerpt or a sermon based on Psalm 139. It really is just straight up Psalm 139. That's right. Copy and paste, baby! I tried to write a beautiful prelude to this post, and I have got absolutely nothing. This Psalm really caught my eye recently, and I have gone back to read it over and over again lately. I can't say I have a particular reason, can't say "Oh I read it for the first time and WOW! Too wonderful for...

Friday, November 21, 2014. I needed this reminder, despite the weird context of it, that God has always drawn near. I owe Him everything, and I will work harder to give things over to Him. He has never let me fall. And He never will. Scribbled by Emilie R. Edwards. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am Emilie. That means many things nowadays- Auntie, Sister, Daughter. Something Borrowed: May 2014
http://emilienotes.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 14, 2014. I'm on vacation, give me a break. Ireland pictures are not quite done yet. I'm getting there! I admit, I find it strange. One year ago I was prepping my camera, renting a lens, and going on a major road trip with.my parents. Now? This year, we haven't seen or talked to anyone! I didn't even post on Instagram until today. *gasp*. The solitude has been a blessing. I needed the time to be quiet with books, quiet before the Lord. This kind of vacation has slowly taken on a new value ...

Something Borrowed: Updates!
http://emilienotes.blogspot.com/2014/05/updates.html
Wednesday, May 14, 2014. My blogging is a bit atrocious lately. I was writing a post about vacation, and realized I hadn't even posted about Celia! Rachel had her baby! I will spare you the long drawn out 'birth story'. It's really not my place to share that. Okay, let's be honest. I was there, and I know I will have to hear every second of the birth rehashed out to a dozen people, so I will just skip going over it again. Birth is a miracle, and a privilege to witness. It's also not for the faint of heart.
