The Wilkes' Week Blog. Sunday, August 2, 2015. I don't remember the last time I went camping in a tent. Jim took the girls camping about 5 years ago and I think that is the last time our tent was used. This weekend our friend Ron celebrated his 60th birthday. He had reserved a group campsite up at Lost Lake and invited his friends to join him. Since was going to be in the 100's in Portland this weekend, the cooler temps up on Mt. Hood were very appealing! Fortunately Jim remembered how to set up our tent.

The family picks a theme each year and Karen asked me to help with some decoration ideas. They chose a 50's Sock Hop theme this year which was very easy and fun to work with. The Wilkes' Week Blog. Sunday, April 13, 2014. Tip Toe Through the Tulips. For our weekend adventure this week we decided to head out to the tulip fields in Woodburn. We decided to go early Saturday morning and are we ever glad we did! We got there at 8:30 am and parked in the front row. Friends that we know that went later in the day spent over 5 hours just driving, traffic was so bad. We only spent 1 1/2 hours driving round trip. Jim and I enjoyed walking through the fields and of course I took photos!

The Wilkes' Week Blog. Saturday, August 10, 2013. Party #1 of the Day - Bridal Shower. This was a party filled week. I hosted two parties at our house on Saturday. Everyone always tells me how crazy I am but I love it! We had traditional tea party food - tea sandwiches, scones, lemon curd, devonshire cream,shortbread, lemon bars as well as chocolate dipped strawberries and a yummy broccoli/pasta salad. The Wilkes' Week Blog. Saturday, May 3, 2014. On Saturday we met for a late lunch/early dinner at the Masa Tortilla Bar in Lindon. It is just like the Tortilla Bar in Orem which is one of our favorite places. They are usually closed during this time but they agreed to stay open for us and prepared a delicious meal for us. It was fun having the restaurant to ourselves. We did it early so that Cali could join us to eat since she had to be to school by 5:00 pm. Cali's good friend Brittney was there too.

We also wanted to share our favorite pizza place and ice cream place with Wynn and Emily and kids! We headed down to Escape from NY Pizza for a slice! They liked it as much as we do!
