Love Is Homemade

Tuesday, February 13, 2018. Why Bloggers Need Breaks . . . Plus a Surprise Announcement. I’ve been blogging, with varying degrees of regularity, since my middle schooler was a preschooler. With the exception of posting an updated coloring journal (at the request of a local Activity Days leader), I took most of last year off. Why? That said, I really enjoy writing, and the things I present are things we have really done. I hope you can forgive me for glossing over the “interesting stories”...Expect posts ...

Love Is Homemade: May 2012

http://classicalchristiancuddles.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Wednesday, May 23, 2012. S drawing a "ghost" with yellow hands. I have my own pastels that I play with, but "adult" pastels have certain health hazards, so this is one art supply I didn't want to share with the kids. I bought them their own, nontoxic, Crayola oil pastels. Instant hit! Oil pastels look like crayons to the kids, so their first impulse was to use them like crayons. But they glide on nice and slippery, and have a nicely saturated color, so there's novelty as well. Tuesday, May 22, 2012.

Love Is Homemade: March 2010

http://classicalchristiancuddles.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 23, 2010. And it came to pass that our family night treat was exceedingly sweet. As a time-consuming practical life activity, sometimes I let my children help me make the treat for family home evening (I'm better at planning treats than lessons). At a young age, they can pour pre-measured dry ingredients, mostly into the mixing bowl. I usually stay in a rut with that activity for a while. Labels: Family Home Evening. Friday, March 5, 2010. Love Is Homemade: Field Trip

http://classicalchristiancuddles.blogspot.com/2013/04/field-trip.html

Thursday, April 25, 2013. Last week, T. went on a field trip to a museum. My husband took time off work to be a chaperone. Cory has chaperoned nearly every field trip our children have had. Realizing that made me more grateful than ever for the wonderful man I married. I love having a husband who volunteers to chaperone our children's field trips. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'm Stephanie. I love art, literature, and home baked goods. See the various temples our family created out of Legos.

Love Is Homemade: Making Muffins

http://classicalchristiancuddles.blogspot.com/2013/04/making-muffins.html

Friday, April 26, 2013. S kept asking me if we were going to make muffins. I was busy. He took the initiative. He got out the muffin pan and lined it with papers. He got out two mixing bowls, announcing one was for dry ingredients, one was for wet ingredients. He opened the cupboard and chose his recipe: applesauce muffins. He read the first three ingredients and carefully measured them into the bowl, even successfully cracking an egg. (I came over and cracked the second egg). My husband Cory loves airpl...
