Friday, November 21, 2014. A Glimpse Inside My Heart. Just an update to my last post. We don't have any new information yet, but just wanted to share where my heart has been and where it is now in relation to our little boy's lips. This next part is just a long line of questions and thoughts that started playing on repeat for several days as I started making phone calls to lactation consultants, pediatricians and researching the best surgeons in Atlanta. How will I feed him? Can I still nurse? Will peopl...

Life Happenings: Cleft Palate Results
http://thedishmantimes.blogspot.com/2014/12/cleft-palate-results.html
Wednesday, December 3, 2014. The good news is that his heart looks beautiful! His brain, kidneys etc. all seems to be perfect as well. We are very encouraged to have that re-confirmed today. I'm also trying to keep it positive with the realization that he CAN and will (Lord willing) have Mommy's milk regardless of feeding method.it may just take a lot more effort on my part to get it to him. Prayer Request: wisdom in finding the right team of surgeons and medical professionals. Thank you, LORD!

http://thedishmantimes.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 3, 2013. My journey to becoming a SAHM (as I've learned we are called) was an interesting one. I just might be opening a can worms by sharing what is on my heart, but hey, you just never know who is reading this out there and might be on a similar journey trying to figure it all out. So let's hope what I say next will hopefully encourage someone else. So, all of that said, why did I work post baby? Man was he faithful! I love my job! So here we go. A new chapter, a new season! View my c...

Thursday, April 9, 2015. He's HERE and He's 1 Month Old! He came a week early and weighed 7lbs 8oz. We are smitten and completely in love! He's one month old today! We are blessed beyond measure, though! On top of that wonderful news is the fact that he's eating SO well! By using this device we are able to cut down on several surgeries as...

Life Happenings: May 2014
http://thedishmantimes.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 21, 2014. She Said My Name. Disclaimer: This is a full on Mom post. Don't say I didn't warn you. =). It's been a really hard last. Month, but more specifically, a really tough last five days. A month ago at our routine check up, the Dr. told us that Charlotte had an ear infection. No biggie, most babies get them at some point. A round of Amoxicillin and we'll be good, right? Thursday, May 8, 2014. My Slice Of the Pie. This last week the question of "What's my slice of the pie? I stayed way...

Life Happenings: Making Headway
http://thedishmantimes.blogspot.com/2014/12/making-headway.html
Sunday, December 14, 2014. This last week has been a very encouraging one! Everywhere I go, I run across people who tell me they are following my blog and praying for us and the baby. It's just beautiful and touches our hearts so deeply to know so many people care and are lifting our family up. You all will never know how much wind you are keeping our sails right now and just how much your encouraging words mean. He is very familiar with our issues and has room to take on our family in his practice!

Life Happenings: February 2015
http://thedishmantimes.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 17, 2015. I Just Can't Wait. Dear Baby Boy,. Your hospital gown with your name monogrammed on it arrived today! It makes me giddy! No one knows your name except your Dad and I. It's our fun little secret. I just keep looking at your hat and gown and fingering the lettering dreaming about holding you in my arms and discussing with your Dad if you look more like him or me when we were babies. We have a month to go until you are due! But, maybe I should go pack my hospital bag first.

Life Happenings: Our Uniquely Wonderful Son
http://thedishmantimes.blogspot.com/2014/11/our-uniquely-wonderful-son.html
Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Our Uniquely Wonderful Son. There IS a baby that He wants to be here and I'm so glad I listened. We kept silent through most our first trimester and waited to share our news even with family. Our hearts had taken a pretty heavy hit during Charlotte's first trimester and we were cautiously waiting to make it past the critical point this time before letting too many people know - just in case. 12 weeks came and went, our ultrasound went great, everything looked perfect! Since wr...
