Trailer Tuesday | Classic Film Femme
https://classicfilmfemme.wordpress.com/2012/01/31/trailer-tuesday-3
Just another WordPress.com weblog. I hate it when a trailer is superior to the film itself. You get all excited about it. You knock elbows with the person next to you in the theater so much as if to say, “We’re going to see that film no matter what! 8221; And then you do go… and you feel ripped off. At least, that’s how I felt about The Haunting. Wrong Don’t bother renting this but do watch the trailer – at least it rocks! Follow any comments here with the RSS feed for this post. Monolith | Classic Film Femme
https://classicfilmfemme.wordpress.com/2012/02/04/monolith
Just another WordPress.com weblog. Watching obscure intellectual movies is always more interesting with my guy. I’ll be working through the meanings, symbols and connections forever while he seems to just “get it” no matter how bizarre the film is. Take for example 2001: A Space Odyssey. Yack: Oh. What’s this movie about? Bec: I think it’s about evolution. Yack: So the monolith directs the evolutionary process? Yack: These ape costumes are terrible. Bec: Wait. What’s a monolith? What is a monolith? Notif...
Trailer Tuesday | Classic Film Femme
https://classicfilmfemme.wordpress.com/2012/01/24/trailer-tuesday-2
Just another WordPress.com weblog. Whatever else he may be, Humphrey Bogart is not gangster. Is he hard-boiled detective? Ummmm… I don’t know. Now Edward G. Robinson absolutely owns the title of ultimate gangster who still wins my sympathy which is why I was so shocked to see detective novelist W.R. Burnett’s quotation in today’s trailer for the film that made Bogart a star. “This is a finer picture than Little Caesar. And I wrote both.” Seriously? And tagged Edward G. Robinson. Newer: I am a Liar. Love ...

pieds nus en été: Moment with Margot: Impermanent Art
http://piedsnusenete.blogspot.com/2015/08/moment-with-margot-impermanent-art.html
Pieds nus en été. Saturday, August 15, 2015. Moment with Margot: Impermanent Art. No fancy craft supplies required. 4 fishes fish food (the red circles). This is my favourite (because it's such a strange thing to draw! A girl playing golf. I know someone who would be proud of that drawing! Her name written from right to left…hum… Margot had to make sure that every letter was a different colour. Now that's important! And here she is explaining, in Franglais. Each of her drawings. Enjoy! A woman of leisure.

Pieds nus en été. Friday, October 31, 2014. Colours of Leaves and Cranberries. On Thanksgiving Weekend, my mom, Simon, Margot and I went to Mont Sainte-Marie ski resort (we did that last year) to take the chairlift up the hill and walked down:. I think we were following the mountain biking path because it was really narrow and muddy. Ah well, at least it made for an adventure! As we were driving back, we stopped when we saw this on the side of the road:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A woman of leisure.
pieds nus en été: July 2015
http://piedsnusenete.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Pieds nus en été. Thursday, July 16, 2015. I came back from Maui changed. Changed because I now have experienced the "aloha" spirit. Aloha means much more than hello, goodbye, welcome. It's an attitude; a way of life. A simple, open, generous and smiling spirit. I can't put it into words. You walk a bit slower in Maui… (maybe it's because everyone wears flip flops ;). We only stayed on the island of Maui. Why did we choose that one? Approximately 13-hour flight from Toronto (12-hour for the return flight).

Pieds nus en été. Friday, November 28, 2014. For your listening pleasure. Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Sunday, November 2, 2014. The Cusp of Winter on Dewberry Trail. A crisp Sunday morning:. It feels like Autumn is lingering on its last legs and the coming of snow is on its way…. Dewberry Trail aka The Chickadee Trail. It's a 1km loop but it took us 40 minutes as we stopped to feed and chat with our newfound friends (who, I swear, were following us and taking shortcuts between the trees).
pieds nus en été: May 2015

Pieds nus en été. Sunday, May 24, 2015. Fun: A 33.28 Race. 4pm on a Saturday - great time slot for running! 10 850 runners in the 5km. (48 000 runners this Ottawa Race Weekend - 5km,10km, 1/2 and full marathons). Really crowded: runners and spectators. Nice course (along the canal). Now, how did I know I was running a 5km distance? By consistently trusting my Nike app on my 2012 (or is it 2011? Simon asked me to check the website Map My Run (which does what it claims it does). This morning I started ...

Tough Cookies: Closing the Circle
http://toughcookies-simonandmargot.blogspot.com/2011/04/closing-circle.html
Trials and Tribulations of a Stay-at-Home Papa. Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Reality may hit like a splash of cold water to the face. And to think – I’ve only been off for four months! I wonder what it would feel like to have been absent from work for a year (the typical absence for a stay-at-home mother in Canada). How about five years? Those numbers aren’t unheard of. April 14, 2011 at 2:06 AM. Im sure youll be just fine although I bet youll miss Margot more than you imagine as well! Follow the Grey Bric...

Tough Cookies: Guest Post: Wife’s Perspective – Concluding Thoughts

Trials and Tribulations of a Stay-at-Home Papa. Saturday, April 23, 2011. Guest Post: Wife’s Perspective – Concluding Thoughts. Well, this is my last post on Tough Cookies. Many (well, at least one person) have asked if I will take over Tough Cookies and write about my adventures with Miss Munchkin. Well… best to ask Simon! Did these 4 months fly by? I think Simon took full advantage of being a SAHD! He was great and the bond he has created with Margot has been invaluable in their relationship. On the so...

Tough Cookies: Goodbye Toronto
http://toughcookies-simonandmargot.blogspot.com/2011/04/goodbye-toronto.html
Trials and Tribulations of a Stay-at-Home Papa. Sunday, April 17, 2011. Goodbye spare bedroom. You kept Margot safe and sound inside the playpen in the corner. Goodbye birthday flowers. You brought colour to the living room on this rainy spring weekend. Goodbye computer nook. Your cozy futon kept Jen and I warm while the wind wailed outside and tried to get in. Goodbye groggy sister. You humoured me while I took this photo and were an amazing and generous host along with your husband. She does look zen!
