Corey Davis: The Legend Continues: July 2008
http://coreydavis.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Today I'm posting a song called "Smile", which I wrote for my wife when she was going through a particularly rough time a little while back. This track features the fantastical bass stylings of my brother, Jon. It's also a little more bouncy and fun than the other two that I've posted thus far, BUT DON'T LET THAT FOOL YOU! Wednesday, July 23, 2008. It's a new week, so I'm posting another song demo. At least there's a force beyond our control that's holding us all together.

Corey Davis: The Legend Continues: September 2008

Thursday, September 11, 2008. I'm trying to figure out what to do next. I've written enough songs to record a whole album (12 or so), but I don't think that I can do all of those songs justice in my attic. I'm thinking that I might record 5 or 6 of them acoustically, get it mastered, and release an EP of sorts to get me from here to the next stage, which would hopefully be the recording of a full album with a full band. Corey Davis: The Legend Continues: June 2007

Sunday, June 24, 2007. What in tarnation is going on here? So we received this brochure in the mail at work the other day:. Can anyone figure out what it is, exactly, that is being advertised here? Upon first glance, you might think it's barbecue. I mean, after all, there is smoke, and there is a cartoon pig. In fact, barbecue is even mentioned in the brochure; so it must be barbecue, right? Then, upon further investigation, you might find the photo of the men grinning beside the mannequin:. Okay; I conc...

Sunday, October 29, 2006. Characters That Freak Me Out, Episode IV. He's not grimacing. In fact, he's never grimacing. He's always smiling. Unsettlingly. What is he supposed to be anyway? Is this what will happen to YOU if you continue to eat at McDonald's? Let this be a warning to us all; eating at McDonald's will turn you into a large purple blob with an ironically misleading name. Wednesday, July 11, 2007. Starbucks now offers a new product, known simply as the:. This thing will be the end of me. What does this have to do with anything (you might ask)? Wellnothing.unless you are superstitious.which I'm not.maybe. I was born on September 29, 1978, at 4:17. Ever since then, It seems, I can't get away from the number 417. When I was in high school, my future wife introduced me to a group of guys who were starting a band and needed a guitarist. The name of the band? The irony is that ...

Sunday, July 23, 2006. Barney is a hack. It's high time that someone called the dinosaur out. Sure, he's got a posse, but BJ and Baby Bop don't got nothing up against the American judicial system. It's high time for this criminal mastermind to be brought to justice. He should begin paying royalties to all of the poor, suffering songwriters that he has been ripping off for years. Pay up, Barney; you're song-stealing days are over. Word. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Barney is a hack. Amber's Blog (my wife).

Wednesday, September 20, 2006. Is it just me, or does anyone else read these things backwards as well? When you think about it, is it really a good idea to have people looking down at the road, trying to read a cryptic message while operating a motor vehicle? It seems to me that the highway department (or whoever is in charge of such lunacy) is just asking for trouble with these things. Wednesday, September 13, 2006. Why Mommy is a Democrat.
