September 03, 2015. The past few months I have thought a lot about what the word belonging means. And the word continues to show itself in new ways. One way has been through our new chicken. Yes, a fluffy yellow chicken we named, Goldie. Goldies story is about love and its about belonging. She is loved more than she realizes. She is part of our family now. The kids love to hold and cuddle her. She belongs. But she doesnt know it. yet. We are cheering for Goldie/ underdog chicken because why? 0160;So th...

A Cat in the Window: February 2014

Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Flower Every Day Month - Last Day (Day 31): Passion Flower. Well, January has drawn to a close. I am disappointed in myself for missing several days of painting a flower. But I won't dwell on that. Doing a flower on (almost) every day of this month was my way of meditating on Cathy Walsh, our local florist and beloved member of the community, who was such an inspiring and joyful person before her untimely recent passing. Posted by Jen Niles. Day 28 was another missing day.

A Cat in the Window: A quick and easy little craft
http://a-cat-in-the-window.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-quick-and-easy-little-craft.html
Friday, May 1, 2015. A quick and easy little craft. This little project is a manageable size, you can use bright colors that will fire up the creative spirit, and you'll be so proud to have made something you can use. It is a watercolor paper "purse pad.". All you need is some watercolor paper, a stack of regular all-purpose printer paper, a sturdy rubber band and a very basic set of watercolors. A nifty purse pad. Every time you use it, you will be reminded of your creative awesomeness. Do Art Every Day.

New Logo For The Rib Whisperer
http://www.junkytrinkets.com/2015/01/i-had-pleasure-of-working-with-fine.html
New Logo For The Rib Whisperer. I had the pleasure of working with the fine folks over at The Rib Whisperer to develop their new logo for all their BBQ sauces, rubs, and spices. It's really cool to see an idea go from a sketch to an actual label on a bottle of BBQ sauce. You may have seen Trace Arnold. On the History Channel traveling the country with his big smoker. He is known for his big personality and his big cowboy hat. He also owns a local BBQ joint called 3 Stacks. Posted by Jeb Matulich.

Thursday, August 17, 2006. Click to enlarge image). A little game of "top dog". otherwise known as "king of the mountain.". Posted by denise @ 12:22 PM. Tuesday, August 08, 2006. Click image to enlarge). As a child, barefoot in the setting summer sun, I spent hours upon hours running around the backyard capturing fireflies. I remember finding jars and having my mother punch holes in the top so I could collect them. Little did I know that bugs don't last very long that way. Posted by denise @ 11:50 AM.
