Friday night Dan threw me a surprise birthday party to celebrate my 30th. I have been saying for weeks, "nothing big.let's not draw attention to it and I won't feel 30! So much for that approach. Oh how sweet these days are. Saturday, December 24, 2011. Birthday, Visitors and Pre-Christmas Week. Winner winner, chicken dinner! Liam shot hoops for hours. It was hilareous to watch. Bentleyville-We stood in line to see Santa for all of 10 minutes before the kids said they wanted to skip it and see the lights instead-WooWhoo! Fine by us :). Mrs Claus had NO line and gave away candy canes.all they really wanted! Didn't think our lives could get much busier but the past two weeks took us by storm :).

Oh how sweet these days are. Sunday, June 7, 2015. Every year as the school days wind down, and the unstructured summer days approach, I get a little anxious about how I will survive the long days with all the kids home. Thursday was their last day and although they were sad to see their friends leave for the summer.they were thrilled to put away backpacks for three whole months! Though some days will test my patience, the past three days have reminded me why I absolutely LOVE summer vacation!

Oh how sweet these days are. Sunday, January 8, 2012. Duluth Heights hockey tournament this weekend. Thankful I am still comfortable enough to watch Connor play this weekend. His next tourney is the weekend we're due(not sure I'll be chasing 2 kids on snow and ice outside that weekend! Oh how sweet these days are. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. I often heard my mom say this during our evening phone calls. I'd be asking for advice or voicing the frustrations of parenting, recapping our chaotic week or questioning the future. She was so wise. I have decided these will be the lone two words tattooed on my arm in her handwriting(someday! So I won't go a day without her all encompassing advice. Liam, with his 1st grade teacher,. Was recipient of the Citizenship Award this year. C and his buddies.

MN Wild and Wells Fargo team up for a road tour and Duluth was one of the stops.
