The Dison Family: December 2014
http://thedisonfamily.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 22, 2014. We were so pleased to be invited to Chelsea and Will's wedding and share in their special day. I have loved sweet, goofy Chels since she was born and it was an honor to be present at her wedding. William and Chelsea after the ceremony:. Walking down the aisle with her daddy. The men sure know how to keep the kids entertained during downtime. They played outside for quite a while. Me and my guy. We all had a wonderful time and the dinner was excellent. Monday, August 4, 2014. Kevin is very into 2 things right now: Outer space and Legos. We made sure that his birthday included a little of both. In the morning on his big day, Kevin opened his family gifts and then put all his new Lego Mixels together. Elena and Jonah were on hand just in case he needed help with the present opening. That afternoon, we headed to the local community college to get ready for the party. Kevin had his birthday party at my dad's planetarium. Lucky kid, right? Bethany, my dad, ...

What you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Not Lost in Translation. The Cultural Conductors are chugging right along and they held their first major event on my birthday: Estación Abierta. Thanks to all of the people who donated to my Peace Corps partnership grant, my fellow Peace Corps volunteers who came to help out, community groups who collaborated, and the hardwork of the Conductors, the event was a major success. Tell people about it:. You are commenting...

The Dison Family: November 2014
http://thedisonfamily.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 20, 2014. First Day of School 2014. Being a former schoolteacher, I can't help but get happy at the thought of a new school year. I just know they'll learn so much and have so much fun, but -at the same time- I am so sad that summer is over. We had so much fun together, and I love nothing more than spending time with my family. Kevin is starting kindergarten and he's so excited! They are both doing really well. Can you see Jonah in the background of both pictures? Has been having a lot...

The Dison Family: Magic Kingdom (Day 2)
http://thedisonfamily.blogspot.com/2015/02/magic-kingdom-day-2.html
Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Magic Kingdom (Day 2). Day 2 was cold. Very cold. We pulled out our winter coats, gloves, hats, the works. It was good though because the park was probably slightly less crowded due to weather and we were well-prepared, so it actually wasn't that bad. All my obsessing about the weather forecast really paid off on this wacky-weather trip. One of the beautiful mosaics inside the Cinderella castle. There was a Little Mermaid ride next and it was nice to have something happy and ...

What you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Not Lost in Translation. The Conductores Culturales held their second Estación Abierta (Open Station) at the train station in Paraguari on Saturday, June 8th. It was a great success, drawing over 150 visitors and lots of national press! A musical group from Asuncion, 28 Dias! Found out what the youth were doing and contacted us to play a show and to pay for all of the sound equipment for the event! And donated to the ...

What you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Not Lost in Translation. The Espacio Cultural La Estación. Is having a photo contest to celebrate our upcoming Open Station event– which will be the third and last event managed by the current team of Cultural Conductors. This has me both excited to see my family, friends and catch the end of United States Summer, and simultaneously panicked and sad about leaving Paraguay. So much to do, so little time!
