Friday, June 24, 2011. It was "Time to Dance". For the last 5 days its been "Time to Dance." That was the theme of this year's recital. It's a crazy week for us, but truthfully, I love it. I love having to be super organized to get everything together. I love being backstage with Kaylee to help her change 13 times, often in under 5 minutes. I love watching her dance. Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Reaction Dance Force 2012. Our last dance competition for the season was May 19. Almost a full month ago! Time flies and with three kids it seems like we are ALWAYS busy. But for my loyal 8 readers, I wanted to post the results of that last competition. The other 2 groups Kaylee is in both took Elite Gold. Progressions, the Ballet number also took 2nd Overall and a Technique Award. In their Duet, Kaylee and Shelby received a Gold and 1st Overall in the Teen Duet Category. Next u...

Friday, September 9, 2011. Kaylee's had a couple rough weeks of dental work. 2 weeks ago she got impacted molars extracted and ajusted. Last week she got wisdom teeth removed and this week she got the top braces put on. On the way to the Orthodontist I said. "Let's go make your beautiful smile even prettier." Monday, March 26, 2012. Cathy Roe's Ultimate Dance Competition. Kaylee's first competition of the 2012 Dance Season was yesterday. This was our first experience at Cathy Roe's Ultimate Dance (although our Studio used to go many years ago). It was a smaller competition, only 101 entries so we were all done by 6pm which was nice. Monday, November 14, 2011. I'm feeling a bit nostalgic about Max's birthday. He turned 5 yesterday. The party was great. Most of the little boys from his class at church were able to attend. Everyone had a good time. No tears, no fighting. YPAC Dual Meet 11/12/2011. Nate had his best swim meet yet on Saturday. He finished in 1st place in every race and had personal best times in every one of them! Saturday, October 27, 2012. NOW Dual Meet (October 27, 2012). Today was Max's first official swim meet. He had a very good day. He cut time off his 25 Free and his 25 Back and he also swam the 50 Free for the first time. He finished 3rd in all 3 events. He also swam on the 100 Free Relay which came in 1st so he earned his first Blue Ribbon! Both boys came home with Blue Ribbons and we had Stevi B's pizza buffet with a bunch of friends. Monday, May 23, 2011. Reaction Dance Force Competition. This weekend was our last competition for the season. Whew! I enjoy them but I am glad its over. Kaylee and her team did very well so it was a great way to end the "year". The ranking system for this competition is Platinum, Elite Gold, Gold, Elite Silver, Silver and Bronze.
