Saturday, August 27, 2011. Back to school - on the wrong foot. Getting ready to walk to the bus - Our neighborAlex is in Addi's class this year. The triplets call her "the royal dog" She wears the crown with pride. 2 Eli vomited all over the music room. I received a call from the school nurse who finally tracked me down. She had to go speak with my mom to find me. I had not updated our records and Clayton and I both had just stared new jobs. He ended up staying home the rest of the week. Simple theme....

Thursday, December 29, 2011. I didn't get my ears pierced until I was 22 years old! I was SUCH a tomboy and never even had a desire to pierce my ears. I had returned from my mission and one of my best college girlfriends was getting married. She gave all the bridesmaids a pair of pearl earrings and gave me a pair with the condition that I get my ears pierced, and I did. All the pictures I have of Addi trying something new her. Face looks like this! Miss priss "during" (she didn't take after me!

Sunday, April 3, 2011. Pinewood Derby Batman Style. Eli's cub scout pinewood derby was last Saturday. He wanted to do a batmobile. Here's a drawing he made after we finished it. And here it is on the track getting ready to race! And here's the scout himself with his car. He won 7th place in the whole tournament! I'm sure the fire helped. Eli has actually been into Batman for a while. Here's one of the first songs he wrote, "Batman Style", when he was two. He updated some words today. Links to this post.

Sunday, October 2, 2011. So after a couple of years of talking about it, and after promising the kids that this would be the year, we have built a tree house. These kids aren't just posing with the drills, they were actually drilling holes and putting in screws with them. I was going to take them to the park, and they all voted to stay home and work on the treehouse. We made some good progress. Jaime, our neighbor, was a great help and is seen here doing some measuring and marking for the vertical pieces.
