Traditional HOT RODS, CUSTOMS, BIKES and LAND SPEED RACERS. Monday, July 13, 2015. My 1924 Ford Model T Roadster Build: Part 6 #TROG. Oh, what a couple of weeks it was down in Santa Cruz. Clayton cracked the whip, and even though it was supposed to be a family vacation, we got a bunch of stuff done on my car. (I say this with full recognition that Clay did about twice as much as I did.). I also got the tail light and license plate bracket mounted. And we modified the seat and shifter a little, too.

Traditional HOT RODS, CUSTOMS, BIKES and LAND SPEED RACERS. Friday, February 24, 2012. Bonneville - Speedweek 2011. Paul Heady's '34 Coupe. After a few days of tryin' we exhausted all our available options, so Paul decided to throw in the towel. With my time free, I was able to check out what others were up to and get some photography done. Here's some of the stuff I shot on the salt and in Wendover:. Okay, okay: the flames might be a bit much, but I liked the shot anyways. Always been a favorite of mine.

Traditional HOT RODS, CUSTOMS, BIKES and LAND SPEED RACERS. Tuesday, July 24, 2012. I had tons of fun yet again at this show. Tons of good friends, some great cars I hadn't seen before, and a bunch of great live entertainment. Pack it all into a nice sunny day, and DANG it feels like summer. I can't really think of what else to say, other than a hearty thanks to the Cam-Winders for putting this event on. Always a great time. Wandalee's Cad: Begs to be cruised. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Traditional HOT RODS, CUSTOMS, BIKES and LAND SPEED RACERS. Sunday, January 8, 2012. Standing on the start line at Bonneville in 2009, my friends Bill, Tim and I spy a beautiful bright yellow roadster with a color-matched 30's pickup as a push truck. "Hey, isn't that George's truck? George and the Flatliners, gettin' ready for a run. Pushing in to a run, our beer cans in tow. Over that week, I hang out with these guys a bunch, and although the car is uncooperative, we had a great time. Sadly, it's th...

Traditional HOT RODS, CUSTOMS, BIKES and LAND SPEED RACERS. Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Plus there's coffee, and that's always a good thing in the AM. Bob Acterberg's New Creation, though that isn't Bob in the background. I was told that Don Orosco brought this beautiful '32 pickup up from Monterrey, though I wasn't able to confirm that. It's a real nice little truck, though. A La Salle grille on a custom. La Salle! This'd be Lars Mapstead's sweet '36. Monday, February 4, 2013. Staging area on Friday night.

Traditional HOT RODS, CUSTOMS, BIKES and LAND SPEED RACERS. Friday, July 26, 2013. My 1924 Ford Model T Roadster Project: Part 3. As it was the family summer road trip to Santa Cruz, I spent more time playing with them than working on the car, but Clay and I did manage to get the steering yolk/drop built as well as a bracket to mount the steering box to. Here's a couple of photos and a video of what's been done. Thursday, July 25, 2013. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Jalopy Journal/The H.amB. View my comple...

Traditional HOT RODS, CUSTOMS, BIKES and LAND SPEED RACERS. Wednesday, November 19, 2014. My 1924 Ford Model T Roadster Project: Part 4 #TROG. Just got back from another trip to Clayton's Hot Rods, workin' on the Jalopy again. It was a good and productive trip! Afternoon sun made it hard not to stop and take a couple of photos. This was just before we rolled 'er down the hill and started to get the Pore15 on. Pretty much the last time she was rusty. Dropin' the engine back in. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Traditional HOT RODS, CUSTOMS, BIKES and LAND SPEED RACERS. Thursday, February 19, 2015. Bonneville Speed Week - 5 Years of Race Cars 2009-2013. My first year out on the salt was 2009, and I went back to speed week every year for the next 5 years. As an amateur photographer, I was completely blown away by landscape. I'd never seen anything like it. As a hot rod, race car and vintage auto/motorcycle enthusiast, well. what could possibly be better? I always look forward to going back each year. Bonneville ...
