Bang!: We Never Close

http://claywriting.blogspot.com/2012/01/we-never-close.html

What's The Last Thing That Went Through Your Mind? Thursday, January 19, 2012. So that was a year. Ho, Internet. It has been some time. In the meantime, here's a few highlights from my scribbling last year, which was violently limited for a giant multiplicity of reasons people characterize as "work.". From the bottom, up. I talked manners with the acidly funny Henry Alford. Carl Richards scribbles on napkins about money. An English giant lost his greatest fight. I interviewed my favorite writer. Knew Sin...

Bang!: September 2010

What's The Last Thing That Went Through Your Mind? Tuesday, September 7, 2010. On Your Way Out. My most unlikely sobriquet ever at. Came out today, in celebration of the online magazine's 100th issue. I just haven't been able to keep up in recent months, and as I've explained in the column, I think it's irresponsible for me to keep the title if I can't keep up the work. Will I keep writing for Jessa, Michael and the gang? Oh, you bet. (and I'm still writing like crazy for Bookslut. My crazy-quilt convers...

Bang!: What's Next

http://claywriting.blogspot.com/2010/08/whats-next.html

What's The Last Thing That Went Through Your Mind? Sunday, August 22, 2010. Well, this is getting to be a habit. For the second week in a row, the featured review in the Denver Post books section is by yours truly. Enjoy my review of Zero History. Well, I think that is what the future feels like now. Written about pretending that. It got to a point where it all just seemed like everything was going to be random. But we were a decade into it being kind of random, and I started to think about how I...Clayt...

Bookslut | An Interview with Tom Cain

http://www.bookslut.com/features/2008_01_012147.php

An Interview with Tom Cain. I’ll give it to you straight. I didn’t trust Tom Cain. Any further than I could throw him. Tasked to review a debut thriller called. Hell, even the author of. Wasn’t real, although it’s virtually impossible to stay hidden in the age of Google. Sarah Weinman. And other determined sleuths quickly made a liaison between anonymous death-dealer Cain and a smart and worldly British journalist on the eve of publishing his first novel. So I put my feet up, cracked the spine of. Origin...

Unabridged Opinions: two by marsh

http://unabridgedopinions.blogspot.com/2009/02/two-by-marsh.html

Reading, thinking, writing, and occasionally tilting at windmills. Ngaio Marsh, and Agatha Christie, and John Dickinson Carr, occupy a special place in my childhood history of reading. Sometime in between The Hobbit. Two of my favourites are Vintage Murder. And Death of a Peer. And, as I wend my way through my library, I picked them up to read during our recent snow storm. Death of a Peer. View my complete profile. Follow me on Twitter. And in other news. Other places to go.

Unabridged Opinions: into each life a little change must come...

http://unabridgedopinions.blogspot.com/2009/02/into-each-life-little-change-must-come.html

Reading, thinking, writing, and occasionally tilting at windmills. Into each life a little change must come. So, ahem, I have been seduced by the flexibility of wordpress. Also, the templates. I can now be found at this site. Come berate me for the still slightly amateurish looking edits I have made! And here is the rest of it. I read. I write. I try to review. You'll find some stories of my life here, and you'll find some of my reviews at bookgeeks.co.uk. View my complete profile. Follow me on Twitter.

Unabridged Opinions: the middle of burnt muffins....

http://unabridgedopinions.blogspot.com/2009/01/middle-of-burnt-muffins.html

Reading, thinking, writing, and occasionally tilting at windmills. The middle of burnt muffins. The past few days have been a mess. Today, I made. The plus was, of course, I had to snap out of my malaise and figure out what to do with twelve well-toasted muffins. So here's hoping the muffin middles did the trick, and I'm on my way to gainful employment. I read. I write. I try to review. You'll find some stories of my life here, and you'll find some of my reviews at bookgeeks.co.uk. Follow me on Twitter.

Bookslut | Love and Death

http://www.bookslut.com/mystery_strumpet/2010_09_016563.php

When the time comes to leave, just walk away quietly and don t make any fuss. One hundred issues. Who would have thought something with a name as subversive, as wanton, as seducing and playful as Bookslut would survive one hundred issues in a world filled with pseudo-celebrities and a publishing industry with a future about as bright as the average mastodon? I could say I need time to go off and reinvent myself like U2, but that would just be sad and awkward for everybody. So let me say this instead.

Unabridged Opinions: this is only a test...

http://unabridgedopinions.blogspot.com/2009/02/this-is-only-test.html

Reading, thinking, writing, and occasionally tilting at windmills. This is only a test. Hmm, for some reason, all of my posts seem to be truncated on the front page. Nope, not any more, I fixed it! It's important, I think, to play around with what you can do on any one platform. I've been looking to liven up the template though, and, for awhile, it looks like I may have broken things. I'm sure it's because blogger figured out I was considering cheating on it with wordpress. But only for the templates!

Clay Writes | The Web Hub for Author Clay Morgan

Hi, I’m Clay. I had no idea who I was when I began college. I mean, I knew I was Clay, but what in the world was that supposed to mean? I certainly didn’t know I wanted to be a writer. And I absolutely had no clue then how tinkering with words would come to define my entire existence. The instructor, a raconteur named Ron Forsythe, had energized and excited me since my freshman year, but he downright inspired me as I progressed into an upperclassman. While writing that story, I found myself hunched over ...
