CL Canada: Day 16 - Churchill Falls
http://clcanada.blogspot.com/2011/09/day-16-churchill-falls.html
Sunday, September 4, 2011. Day 16 - Churchill Falls. Oh yes, we are certain that in the next 10 years this whole road will be paved. As we left out of Goose Bay we enjoyed several miles of pavement, many more than the map from a year ago even showed. Before long this will be just a Sunday drive, rather than a strenuous trek through the wilderness. Home-made signs for the hiking paths. He even drew us a map to some key areas to check out. JD braves the metal bridge on the trail. Day 16 - Churchill Falls.

CL Down South: Day Ten - Sit. Stay. Eat.
http://cldownsouth.blogspot.com/2010/05/day-ten-sit-stay-eat.html
Feed the Need to Explore. Saturday, May 1, 2010. Day Ten - Sit. Stay. Eat. Heading out of Texas we encountered some interesting things. First there was the "Gator 911" service, followed by the oil refineries. Soon we began to notice the flooded fields of crawfish farms and we truly felt that we had arrived in the Gulf. Coming into Louisiana, we moved away from the coast and tried to escape the rain. Passing through the town of DeRidder. The town of Natchitoches. It was the best decision we could have mad...

Feed the Need to Explore. Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Day Fifteen - Homeward Bound: the incredible journey. We woke up this morning and had a wonderful breakfast with the Ways. J.D. was glad to have the chance to meet their new puppy Lil' Buddy. The two of them had a good time romping about, although we did have to institute the occasional time out. Thanks again Carol and John for the wonderful hospitality! But of course, you can't run up I-95 without a stop at South of the Border! Tuesday, May 4, 2010.

CL Down South: Souvenirs
http://cldownsouth.blogspot.com/2010/05/souvenirs.html
Feed the Need to Explore. Tuesday, May 4, 2010. One thing Carl and I agree on is trying to stay away from the kitschy souvenirs. in fact, on this trip we have bought more for others than for ourselves. Really, the only thing we tend to come back with from trips is our pictures, and sometimes local art. We met Ricco Rideaux, a local artist in New Orleans and really liked his stuff. Ricco told us that we could find him on facebook and he will ship to anywhere in the U.S. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

CL Down South: Day Fourteen - "You're in Florida? You know, you have to come home sometime..."

Feed the Need to Explore. Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Day Fourteen - "You're in Florida? You know, you have to come home sometime.". We woke this morning to finally a bit of sunshine. We were glad for the chance to finally get out on the beach and feel the sand in our toes. We even go J.D. into the water for a few brief moments. He's still not completely sold on the wet salty dog look, but is warming up to it. Today we wandered our way up through Georgia, rolling through one sleepy town after the other. Th...
