Monday, February 28, 2011. These three have been so much fun recently. Yes, we still have our moments, but in general they are in a really enjoyable stage and I am soaking it up! As you can see above, Grace, Isaac and Eli are finally having a lot of fun playing. There are afternoons when I pause to just take in the fact that they are in the other room playing together. For more than five minutes. Can I get an AMEN? A few things that stand out to me about each of them these days:. I know, little buddies, ...

Saturday, April 23, 2011. I loved listening to her sing, tell me stories, and just talk with me as we shared the morning together. Eli spent the morning with Coco, playing at her house and having lunch at Whitworth with Landon, Sarah and Nicole. He was eager to tell me all about it. We've also been enjoying time recently with our new little buddy, Sydney Smith! Sydney was born to our good friends Kyle and Mindy at the end of January and has quickly become one of our new favorite people.

Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Times, They Are A Changin'. It has been a time of transitions in our household. Transition #1: Grace and Isaac are now in week two of pre-school. How did my little munchkins get to this point already - SCHOOL? Sorry buddy, you're stuck with me for another two years. :) Really though, I am looking forward to have a couple of mornings each week to focus on Eli, while knowing the other two are learning, growing and enjoying their time away from us. We'll somehow figure out a way...

I appreciate the honesty and depth of her lyrics, the way she can write playful ditties as well as moving melodies about the tougher issues of life. Aside from that, I'm just a fan of her acoustic, female sound! Add to the Beauty. By Sara Groves and Matt Bronlewee. We come with beautiful secrets. We come to every new morning. To tell a better story.

Monday, January 10, 2011. Birthdays are funny things. I'm sure many parents can relate - in some ways it feels like Eli has been around far more than two years and yet, I feel like I've turned around twice and he went from being a bleary-eyed and wholly dependent newborn to a busy, running, talking toddler who is beginning to seek independence. A little overwhelmed at all of the attention - at least one of them is. He belly-laughed over these "quack-quack" cup cakes each time he saw them. You, darling bo...

Monday, May 10, 2010. Hikin' Hide and Seek. Isaac looks like such a big boy these days! Between his new haircut, no more diapers, and another growth spurt, he looks like he's nearly ready for kindergarten. I snapped this picture of the boys the other day and had to post it - do they look like brothers, or what? We had to take a few breaks from the tough terrain to watch for fish jumping in the river below. I love this shot of Poppa and the boys. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Summer evenings are, without a doubt, one of my favorite things! The past few have been especially lovely - last night a "hike" and picnic dinner at Riverside State Park, a concert at Arbor Crest on Sunday evening, and dinner on Grammie and Poppa's deck on Saturday evening. I'm WAY behind on posting updates, but at least had to add this picture from last evening's outing (taken from my phone). More to come. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Saturday, December 25, 2010. There is not much like the excitement and wonder of children around Christmas! We have had a joy-filled few days with Grammie and Poppa, and our hearts, home, and bellies are abundantly full tonight. Our best attempt at a family picture. Sweet girl working on her number flashcards. Our newest tradition - opening a new family game on Christmas Eve. 2010=Candyland. Ready for bed - can you sense the anticipation?
