Does Your Dog REALLY Want to be Petted? A Consent Test is a way to tell if a dog likes something. It’s very simple. If you cause the activity to stop, does the dog take action to make it start again? This is a blog about clicker training. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Mr Hooper's Sketch Positive Petzine. I can think of no better introduction to dog trainer and writer Aidan Bindoff than his article Mr Hooper's Sketch. Which appears on the website Positive Petzine. Feelings must be acknowledged, and respected. They are just as real as sticks and stones. A great article from someone who obviously has a lot of experience and dedication to their work. Clickerbook.net: September 2011
http://clickerbook.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
This is a blog about clicker training. Monday, September 12, 2011. It's so simple when you see it in dogs. The very basic lesson of the more you do, the more you do. This is a blog about clicker training. Friday, May 20, 2011. I was pretty positive but now I'm certain. Am I just paying for the attention of these kids? Operant conditioning helped me to see that all of these things are rehearsals for success. They are rehearsals in exercising self control and making choices. This is the heart of what clicker training teaches: self-control. It teaches the learner that they can choose to make something positive happen. And isn't that in itself that an intrinsic value?

Tams blog

Just another WordPress.com site. December 23, 2013.
