On 5 and 6 February 2015, CLiPS organised the 25th Meeting of Computational Linguistics in the Netherlands in Antwerp. There were about 170 attendees who were presented with 60 oral presentations, almost 30 posters and demos and an invited talk by Tony Veale. Chris Emmery wins STIL thesis award at CLIN25. Submitted by Ben Verhoeven. On Tue, 17/02/2015 - 12:30. Chris Emmery was one of the two recipients of the 2014 STIL thesis prize that was awarded at CLIN25. Chris won the prize for his master thesis, titled 'Topic Modelling in Online Discussions" (supervised by dr. Menno van Zaanen, Tilburg University). The second recipient was Hannah Tops (Utrecht University and Radboud University Nijmegen) for her thesis "The Predictive Power of Tweets".
