Random ramblings from a self-professed geek. In this blog’s previous incarnation I created a couple little widgets for myself that I then released into the wilds of the internet. Quite a bit of time has passed, but they still apparently work, so here they are. Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD). This little guy fetches the latest astronomy picture of the day from NASA. Http:/ apod.nasa.gov/apod/. This widget goes out to Wundergound and grabs a random weather picture, pretty simplistic.

I worked my way through all the fun bits, but near the end I ran into an issue with WCF’s handling of SecurityTokenExceptions in my custom UserNamePasswordValidatior.
