Just off Fillmore Street was Molly Stones, a delightful, if expensive, supermarket. The cheese counter was amazing albeit to be avoided unless that is all you wish to eat. We grabbed as much as we could carry so that we had drinks and breakfast stuff and meandered back via Fillmore, taking in what it had to offer. It is an amazing place.

I was sitting at a coffee bar at Singapore airport when this voice asked “Do you mind if I sit here? I find arriving at an airport, even one I am familiar with, alone really unpleasant. Worse if it is an unfamiliar country and ten times worse if they don’t speak English. So to have Sam meet me started this stopover in a completely different tone. This was Singapore, Happy Times.

Which sells reproduction sextants,compasses, telescopes and ships wheels and lights and lots of other nautical goods. My passion for sailing started some 20 years ago, and I presently own a Moody 333 which I sail around France and the Channel Islands.
