About Wellington Gardens Ltd. I have lived in Wellington for over 40 years, and now live in Wellington with my family. My qualifications are a Dip. Hort., and NDH (Hons). I have spent over 28 years in the horticulture industry, as a nurseryman, landscape consultant, and lecturer. I have appeared on radio and TV and have written 6 books. They had made a start to develop their garden, but were stuck on what to do with the back part of the section, and had differing points of view. It had an existing shade house on site. The house had a Tuscan colour theme, and the existing planting had that feeling to it, with clipped hedges, and Mediterranean plants.

If you have recently put a lawn down, make sure it has regular soakings, but be aware if there are water restrictions in your area.
