Old love is not like comfortable slippers | An Open Book
https://closeenoughtoread.wordpress.com/2013/10/04/old-love-is-not-like-comfortable-slippers
If you're close enough to read me. Dorothy Parker: But Not Forgotten. Poly Means Many: FOMO →. Old love is not like comfortable slippers. October 4, 2013. It’s not a novel observation to point out that most of our cultural narratives about ‘love’ are actually about ‘new love’ – those mad fizzing heart-racing giggling months when you are high on the very existence of this amazing person who loves you. That’s what inspires the songs, the stories, the films. But what about old love? But someone who has love...

Polyamory Archives - Not Just Happenstance
http://www.notjusthappenstance.com/category/polyamory
It's Complicated. A blog about my experiences with polyamory, and life in general. November 21, 2014. I knew it’d been a long time since I’ve updated, but I hadn’t realized that I left things off on a cliffhanger. Oops! As rather vaguely alluded to in this post. Huge stress off my shoulders. There is, of course, so much more to work on. Will it continue to be Catalyst and I living together with Ember visiting regularly, or will we all live together? Would we all move somewhere else? Will I have children?

It's Complicated. A blog about my experiences with polyamory, and life in general. Monthly Archives: November 2013. November 5, 2013. Short post. It’s late and I should have been in bed 45 minutes ago. I have a lot of thinking to do about how much hiding is okay in my life. How open do I need to be able to be about my personal life? The real question is, how do I reassure that tiny part of me? Because I love my boys and I’m hanging on to them. Click to share on Google (Opens in new window). Click to shar...

It's Complicated. A blog about my experiences with polyamory, and life in general. Monthly Archives: December 2013. December 17, 2013. So we talked last night. Well, first I sent a panicked, emotional email to Catalyst and received a reassuring response later in the day, and then Catalyst and Ember went to Costco to split a membership together (even though they live in different cities), and they got to talk a bit in the car. And. Click to share on Google (Opens in new window). Rocks Hard places. The...

This blog is just me reflecting on the things that make my life mine - in particular my explorations in polyamory, pagan spirituality and kink. Comments and questions are welcomed. Names and details may be changed herein to protect the (not so) innocent. Thanks for reading. Tuesday, January 3, 2012. The Ghost of Raisin. It's amazing what an imprint Raisin left on my heart. It's been four years since I've held him, but I still miss his gentle cuddles and unassuming ways. And every once in a while,...Dream...

The Boy With The Inked Skin: Poly Means Many - NRE or Bust
http://theboywiththeinkedskin.blogspot.com/2013/01/poly-means-many-nre-or-bust.html
The Boy With The Inked Skin. Monday, 7 January 2013. Poly Means Many - NRE or Bust. What I always long for is what comes *after* the NRE; the stability, which some think is mundane, fosters security, consistency, and familiarity. I know what to expect, and where the boundaries are. It is important however when having NRE with someone new, to occasionally step back and analyse things. Ask yourself: Am I devoting more time/money/resources to this person than I really afford? The Boy With The Inked Skin: Poly Means Many - Commitment Does Not Mean Exclusivity

The Boy With The Inked Skin. Monday, 3 December 2012. Poly Means Many - Commitment Does Not Mean Exclusivity. Commitment, it’s a word that means so much, to so many people. It’s often linked to marriage; but also to our job, our friendships, or our Sunday afternoon football team. We commit to baking something for the company bake sale, or to attending a friend’s party. In all these instances, it implies that we are going to do. Something, to promise to do it no matter what, and to do only. I'm young, bi,...

An Open Book | If you're close enough to read me
If you're close enough to read me. July 12, 2017. I wrote this when my baby was, I think, about six months old (which seems a long time ago now). I’ve finally decided that actually yes, I’m happy to share it. Coming back to it I find that some of it is still just as true, and other things have changed hugely. Mumsnet: fame at last!
