Cloud Cap marine: June 2009

http://cloudcap.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

Friday, June 19, 2009. Thanks to a really soft mortgaging market and remarkable timing, we managed to put together one of those dream refi rates and loosen up a couple bucks. In return, 24 x 36 feet of storage goodness. This is slowing down the beginning of the Clipper project, but its a necessary slowdown to make building more efficient. Due to roots and frost heaves, we ended up getting a sidewalk at the same time:. Posts set and getting the floor leveled:. Day three, concrete down, trusses up. Im thin...

Cloud Cap marine: September 2008

http://cloudcap.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Looks like I have the current honey-do list 100% finished for the first time in two years! Very exciting stuff, the flooring is all in, the table is made, all bathroom remodel projects are done, it's quite spectacular. Here is the finished product:. There is a dory down in Oregon that might help fast forward the dory project. More very soon. Tuesday, September 2, 2008. Heck, we are making a table, why not make some benches at the same time? No planed thickness reduction, so ...

Cloud Cap marine: July 2008

http://cloudcap.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 30, 2008. So I spent a little time out in the garage puttering, but the time was spent without a camera. Go figure. Oxford has been decked fore and aft, planed smooth, and is awaiting some epoxy. The splashboards are cut and prepped, they just need final fitting and gluing up. Pretty little thing, that Oxford. Im pretty impressed with the lines. I haven't noted yet that my Oxford (I should say hers, right? 3mm bilge panels, replacing the 4mm. No nails, all connections are epoxy-only.

Cloud Cap marine: May 2009

http://cloudcap.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

Thursday, May 7, 2009. Very, very close. As you can see, what a disaster. Though, notably, convenient to access! There seems to be just as many dishes as clamps, cups as tape measures, and ubiquitous sawdust. What a difference a couple months of full time labor can make! It is a little hard to remember where things are now, since you can't immediately see them. It also happens to be an exquisite day here in Nine Mile Falls, so I did the remodel/view shot as well:. building NINA: June 2007

http://buildingnina.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html

A place to see a complete idiot build a beautiful boat by the June 1st 2007 deadline! I drove all over hell and back today. Parts are accumulating, money is dwindling. Turns out the tank I purchased wasn't quite short enough. As designed the fuel tank filler doesn't have enough room vertically, so it was time for a modification. More on that later. The soles of the wells, with the SHS (some heavy stuff) clamp:. So on with the tank install. This will be slightly tutorial-esque. We are going to need to mak...

building NINA: February 2007

http://buildingnina.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html

A place to see a complete idiot build a beautiful boat by the June 1st 2007 deadline! A sense of accomplishment, hell why not. If I drank, I'd have a beer right about now. I managed to get the breakable board (tested twice! While the sides are in place, and everything is stitched roughly in place, theres a bit of a hook near the transom:. This little action gap can cause some handling problems later, so I will be going to the designer about how to remedy it. Here she is, fully skinned:. Added to any noun...

building NINA: April 2007

http://buildingnina.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

A place to see a complete idiot build a beautiful boat by the June 1st 2007 deadline! This was one of the tougher pieces of glass ive ever had to lay. Due to the fact that I was going to lay both sheets in one day, and I wasnt going to climb around all over one wet one and one dry one, I laid both simultaneously. Not easy, but effective. Doug - Use the sheet remnant from the BOTTOM panel as a template for the INSIDE sheets. Makes cutting this to fit a snap! Closer to see the weave:. Filleting went well&#...

building NINA: I quit!

http://buildingnina.blogspot.com/2008/03/i-quit.html

A place to see a complete idiot build a beautiful boat by the June 1st 2007 deadline! Good news is, the last of the epoxy work was completed, and the splashboards on the bow are done! This was by far the most difficult fillet I have ever dealt with, being not only small, but delicate and difficult to get to thanks to the angles. It did turn out well, however. Without further ado, here she is, ready for paint:. Quartering shot to show the finished splashboards:. Here is the finished splashboard:.

building NINA: November 2006

http://buildingnina.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html

A place to see a complete idiot build a beautiful boat by the June 1st 2007 deadline! And the wheels begin to turn; slowly. I was inspired by the flatiron skiffs because of their sensibilities and elegant look. Being that I am 1) cheap, 2) lazy, 3) short attention spanned, I found a set of free plans on a very easy and quick to build boat, Dave Beede's SUMMERBREEZE ( http:/ www.simplicityboats.com/summerbreeze.html. Meanwhile, on NINA:. Please note the mui excellente saw:. The monster throwaway D form:.

building NINA: July 2007

http://buildingnina.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

A place to see a complete idiot build a beautiful boat by the June 1st 2007 deadline! A place to sit. In light of the marathon read of the last post, I will keep this one a bit more to the point. Im sure we all remember the tank fiasco. It was a depressing foray into the doldrums, a realization that major screwups happen. Here is proof that even a major bonehead move will not stop your project. As I would be doing some epoxy and fiberglass work on the seats, I had some extra filler mixed up and just put ...

building NINA: January 2007

A place to see a complete idiot build a beautiful boat by the June 1st 2007 deadline! Confessions of a boat blogger. This is just an off-topic post, thus the double post from the Department of Redundancy Department. These are the lengths we bloggers will go to put our info out there, keep you readers satiated, and hopefully illicit an occasional email/comment/post on the various forums! See, Im serious about keeping this blog alive! I got sick of being frozen out of work. Its time for epoxy! A bit more s...

Capacity Management Re-Branded

Resilient and Cost-Effective IT Supply Chains. Tuesday, 14 October 2014. Managing User-Experience in the App Economy. During the last decade, another fundamental force has been shaping how consumers interact socially. User-experience is now widely shared and is typically present at the point of purchase/install. However these reviews are consulted, it is certain that they can either help or hinder market penetration and, ultimately, brand. The appropriate question that remains is - " how much investment ...
