I will do my best to give updates during the contest but make no promises because computer time is tough to come by. I’m looking forward to a week of racing, should be lots of fun to learn how to play this game from the best in the world. If you click on the images you can view a larger version. http://shaneandbecky.blogspot.com/2013/08/summer-fun.html
Tuesday, August 13, 2013. We are doing our best to soak up the summer sun. It has not been all that hot, which is actually perfect for my little family! Being so pale, we are not exactly sun worshipers. Holden has been taking swimming lessons with his good buddy Karina. We moved to a cute new house, with an amazing backyard.and a tire swing! We have had a few fun day's at the beach. And lot's of evenings spent in the back yard! Can't beat summer with kids. Posted by Becky K. August 16, 2013 at 8:59 AM.

http://thetravelingeagles.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Eagles South of the Border. Wednesday, November 14, 2007. We are now one day and one month from our go day! Where has the last month gone? We are trying not to stress on finding a renter and thinking about moving all the stuff we have somehow acquired in the last few years. There have been a few stressful moments, but we have to keep reminding ourselves that things will continue to fall into place! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Eagles South of the Border: Back to School
http://thetravelingeagles.blogspot.com/2008/05/back-to-school.html
Eagles South of the Border. Thursday, May 1, 2008. We are already coming to the end of our Spanish classes in Panajachel, Guatemala. We can´t believe how much we´ve learned in a week, but still have sooo much to do and need a lot more time to study and figure it out.we say over and over again that learning a language is hard, we feel like we´re back at work! Our classes are for four hours every day and then we have homework each night that takes at least that long. Whew! We COULD NOT believe it, but they...

Eagles South of the Border: Tikal
http://thetravelingeagles.blogspot.com/2008/06/tikal.html
Eagles South of the Border. Sunday, June 1, 2008. This was our first ruins experience and it kind of spoiled us. We wondered around here for a day and a half and found it really fun to finally sleep in the jungle. There are some crazy noises in the jungle. This was our first time hearing Howler monkeys! They sound like they are about to attack like a lion. They are crazy little buggers! Temple IV, remember the location of the rebel base from Star Wars? And we were trying to wake up! Photos from Guatemala...

Eagles South of the Border: More pics back in Mex
http://thetravelingeagles.blogspot.com/2008/07/more-pics-back-in-mex.html
Eagles South of the Border. Saturday, July 19, 2008. More pics back in Mex. The water itself was amazingly clear and filled with hundreds of black catfish. They also had a diving platform that we couldn't get enough of. This was in the ball court, where evidently the Mayan taste for blood even extended to their sports. They were known to slaughter the captain of the losing team and sometimes the entire team at the end of a game. That had to bring on some friendly competition. Welcome to the Jungle.

Just a week after we had originally planned. So we were feeling pretty good about it! Whew, a close call that kept us on our toes for the rest of the trip. We got just to the Oregon border around 3 am and decided we had to stop to catch what sleep we could. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Leaving town and a Christmas Celebration. View my complete profile.

Eagles South of the Border: Welcome to the Jungle
http://thetravelingeagles.blogspot.com/2008/07/welcome-to-jungle.html
Eagles South of the Border. Saturday, July 19, 2008. Welcome to the Jungle. After Chichen Itza, we went to the gulf side for a night in Campeche then on to Palenque for some of the most impressive ruins we saw. For the structures themselves, but also for the surroundings. The rolling hills of the highland jungles were breathtaking. The carvings on some of the buildings were quite impressive and meaningful. Still don't know what the T was for tho. Ahhh, the day in the jungle made the next day all the swee...
