Cloud Savvy: October 2009
http://cloudsavvy.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 30, 2009. I have spent the past month digging deeper into lean (or agile) software development. Principles and practices. I have led many successful software projects and programs that have yielded high-quality, well-received software. For various reasons during the past four years, I have led software projects using agile development. Originally, I was trained in the classic waterfall model for software development. I would rather master both methods and apply the best for the job at hand.

Cloud Savvy: Innovations in Change Leadership
http://cloudsavvy.blogspot.com/2014/08/innovations-in-change-leadership.html
Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Innovations in Change Leadership. We enter into the high tech industry wanting to be that person with an idea that changes the industry. Few have had such ideas. The industry has been changed by such ideas. Somehow, even for those who have changed the industry, we create organizations, products, processes and roles that become resistant to change. Looking back, there are things that I would change on my approach. For example, I should have been more demanding of the product ...

Friday, August 21, 2009. Awhile ago, Alvin Toffler's Future Shock. Associated with Cloud Computing seems to swell larger with each passing day. How can one use the vague information contained within visions to help with today's decisions? In Peter Schwartz' Art of the Long View. He outlines how one can use information gathering, scenarios, driving forces and plots to help make better decisions today. All one needs to do is agree that the basis of a scenario could happen. In particular, I was intrigued by...

Sunday, January 10, 2010. Maybe the 'if you care' emails will be replaced by the 'if you care, you'll subscribe to my Twitter feed' requests. Mark E. Hodapp. January 10, 2010 at 4:39 PM. Is it elder mail, or just email in an elder mode? Of course overestimating the cost of storage v. underestimating the cost of deletion has been a hot button issue with me for a few years now. Cloud Savvy: September 2014
http://cloudsavvy.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 6, 2014. For the software professionals, we would just love our world to be this simple. The reality is that there are not only four dimensions to consider, but as many as thirty two dimensions to consider. Let me outline those that we have to balance, manage, coerce, work around, plan for, and strategize around. As we know, practice makes perfect. Mark E.
