Then came employment and with it the opportunity for an underperforming wallet to hold currency notes, yes plural, and then, hot damn! So the relationship seems logical; The amount of gratification from a “shiny new thing” is a function of how long you’ve had to wait for it from the time you first wanted it and how much it costs relative to your financial situation.
