The postman has been kept busy delivering a vast array of musical packages in the past few weeks. BRAD PAISLEY’s new album .”Wheelhouse” (Sony) is quite a strange album. There’s some really good stuff on it, and some really weird stuff too. The track listing has 22 tracks, but there’s really only 17! 8221; There is certainly a sound on some of the tracks, that to me, comes over as just noise.

The 2014 collection features 18 tracks, from well established names like Charlie Boston, Gary Curtis and Mexican Joe Walker. Young Megan does a great version of the song, and I love the pipes on it too. From The Borders, George Inglis brings us “A Horse Called Bob”, which is a really catchy number. Buying this CD would be a great way of supporting our own British Country music artists.

John and Jacob, the acclaimed Nashville-based duo of John Davidson and Jacob Bryant, have announced their first headlining tour of the UK having previously guested on high-profile tours with Kacey Musgraves, The Band Perry and The Shires as well as having done one-off shows in their own right. The tour will be sponsored by Taylor Guitars, and includes a night at Glasgow's stereo on Thursday October 8th.
