Peaches - Triple Creek Farm
http://triplecreekfarm.weebly.com/blog/peaches
Thank you for visiting! Look at my baby peaches! We are so excited, (knock on wood) we're actually going to get some fruit this year. These little babies are about the size of a quarter. I can taste 'em already! It looks like we're going to have some apples too, but I'm not so sure about the plums. I think they bloomed too early and got the kiss of death from the frost. We'll have to wait and see, I guess. I can't believe you already have baby peaches! Create a free website.

Our New Hive. Or What Might Have Been. 10 Tips On Siting A New Beehive →. We Thought It Was A Goner, But The Hive Came Back, The Very Next Day. May 18, 2012. As If That. Just. Happened. Oh my gosh. I had the most unbelievable moment yesterday, I’m still in awe at the thought of it. If you recall, I suffered a bit of a hit on Sunday when my beehive swarmed. And half of them flew away just hours before I was to split them and put them in my brand new Top-Bar Hive. Oh yeah, baby! That’s my swarm! This time ...

Happy Summer! - Triple Creek Farm
http://triplecreekfarm.weebly.com/blog/happy-summer
Thank you for visiting! School's out for summer! We love to start our plants from seed. The main reason is because it is so much easier on the pocketbook. Since one of the benefits of growing your own fruits and veggies is saving money, we felt like the most responsible way to do that was to buy seed and instead of plants. I invested in a variety of seed from Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company. I CANNOT wait until I finally get my first tomato sandwich of the summer. YUM! Have you had your canning lessons?

Farm-Raised Beef, Pork, and Chicken - Triple Creek Farm
http://triplecreekfarm.weebly.com/blog/farm-raised-beef-pork-and-chicken
Thank you for visiting! Farm-Raised Beef, Pork, and Chicken. Let's see.so much has gone on over the last couple of months, it is hard to keep up. I think that I'd like to talk about our view on food, specifically, animals for food. A lot of people tell us that they just don't understand how we can see animals walking around on our farm and then turn around and eat them. I'd like to elaborate on that. You are absolutely right! 31 Days of Growing with God. Helpful Info & Tips. Kids & Prayer. When Giving Up Is A Good Thing! March 10, 2015. Have you ever heard that before? I have, but in this case it is me saying it. Giving up is usually a negative statement meaning you are so frustrated you quit or your commitment level is not high enough to see something through. Yet, that is not the kind of giving up I am talking about. This is hard to talk about, but maybe someone reading this is in the same spot I was in. Be strong and coura...

What was I thinking?!? - Triple Creek Farm
http://triplecreekfarm.weebly.com/blog/what-was-i-thinking
Thank you for visiting! What was I thinking? Well, I fully intended to start posting weekly over the summer, but as you can tell, the summer has gotten away from me. We've been busy here on the farm! Our garden has entered full-on mode and I can barely keep up. Our main fenced garden is about 50' x 100'. On one end of the garden, we also planted corn (which the crows promptly plucked out of the dirt! We were all shelling peas yesterday. The girls and their little cousin, Keith and his nephew and I sh...

Thank you for visiting! And the whippoorwills (or whip-poor-wills) singing their tune. It is so quiet most of the time out here. -so quiet that I can hear the cows biting off the grass at the root. We have fences and a barn and think of this place as ours, but I'm reminded frequently that we are invading. Space and not the other way around. This is the part where I realize that. I love this life.hard lessons and all. You have become quite the writer! Triple Creek Farm is located in Sweetlips, TN. We ...
